3.01 INITIAL CONTACT WITH COUNSELEE

When you, as counselor, are first contacted by one who is seeking help, the first step in the process is to answer their general questions about your ministry. If the initial contact is by phone or In-person, there are two issues that you should strive to determine as part of the discussion:

1. What is their primary reason for seeking counseling?

Those who are seeking spiritual warfare counseling have typically already sought help from other secular or Christian counseling sources to no avail. By the time they reach out to you, it is not uncommon for them to consider you as their last hope before taking their own life. At the other extreme, there are also those who may only be looking for someone to share their misery without a serious commitment to take whatever steps are required to be free. Therefore, during the initial contact and beyond, it is important to convey optimism and hope; yet, be cautious to avoid becoming entrapped in lengthy detailed personal information at this time.

2. Have them describe their relationship with the Lord

If your first contact is a phone call or face-to-face encounter, diplomatically probe the status of their salvation. If there is any doubt, witness to them and seek to either bring them to Christ or reaffirm a prior commitment to Him in a prayer together. Explain that the power to heal the inner person is strictly an intervention by God for his children. Those who have not been cleansed from their sins by confession, repentance, and surrendering to His Lordship over their lives are not children of God. He is only their creator. And under those circumstances, this form of counseling will be of little value and potentially dangerous for all concerned.

3.02 INFORMATION GATHERING

If, after the initial contact, the one seeking help wishes to pursue counseling, send them a copy of the first 2 chapters of this manual and ask them to read it very carefully. This will familiarize the one seeking help with the scriptural basis for the counseling protocols used and minimize their fears of the unknown. Then, if they still wish to continue, have them complete, sign, and return the Confidential Personal Inventory (CPI-2023_REV 03) , also located in Chapter 7 forms, carefully following the instructions on the cover sheet.

Depending on the location where the counseling will take place, it is also advisable to include form FT-01 Release of Liability for the counselee to complete and sign, especially if counseling will be done at a 3rd party location such as a church or you happen to be a licensed, credentialed counselor.

The CPI form strives to identify every contribution to spiritual bondage in the life of the counselee. This includes acts, mental attitudes, as well as inherited iniquities passed down from forefathers. It also asks some extremely sensitive questions that will cause the one filling it out to pause before answering. Therefore, the counselee must be given full assurance ahead of time that all information shared will be kept in the strictest confidence unless there is an imminent danger of serious harm to themselves or others.

Processing the CPI form and exchanging follow-up questions, if done correctly, will take several days. However, this will save an enormous amount of time that would otherwise be spent during the counseling sessions collecting this information. It will also provide the counselor a more complete understanding of where the problem areas are before the first session.

Carefully and prayerfully complete an exhaustive review of the CPI, identifying every possible area of the counselee’s soul (mind/will/emotions) that may have been compromised or implicated by the answers given.

Because of the very sensitive nature of some of the questions on the CPI, you can expect some of the questions to be answered ambiguously or left blank. Therefore, take special note of any questions where this is the case; they are frequently very important issues that are key to unlocking secrets hidden by the evil one and must be followed up on.

It is important not to lose sight of the purpose of this exercise. Freedom from spiritual bondage is achieved by confessing areas of our lives that have fallen short of God’s Holiness and by reclaiming those areas of the soul (mind/will/emotions) from Satan’s control. Confession and repentance by the core personality will restore areas of the core personality (mind/will/emotions). But areas of the soul that have fragmented due to trauma or taken captive through inheritance (Flipside) may require confession by those personality fragments rather than the core personality. We will start with the core personality; then we will search out those other hidden areas of the soul to cleanse and restore the other fragments.

Forms #FT-202(01-06) found in chapter 7 are used by the counselor to capture and evaluate the information contained in the CPI. Each form covers a different area for a total of 6 general categories:

FT-02(01). Negative Traits/Behavior/Mental Attitudes That Represent Or Facilitate Sin

Use form FT-02(01) to capture behavior, mental attitudes, or habits that existed in the past or present, freely acknowledged or implied, that cross the line of sinful behavior or leads to/promotes it. Typical categories to consider would be self-acceptance (ref: Appendix C chapter 10 “Finding Acceptance With Myself, Others, and God”), covetousness, greed, moral impurity, involvement with the occult, rebellion, bitterness, irrational fears, rejection/ shame, unbelief, prideful spirit, etc. The earliest remembrance of each particular trait and whether it is still an issue in the counselee’s life should also be noted on this form. This earliest remembrance may not be possible, but should be attempted because it may provide valuable as to the age when fragmentation may have occurred.

FT-02(02). Ancestral Iniquities & Curses of Forefathers, Especially Those Identifiable Through Multiple Generations.

Use form FT-02(02) to capture iniquities known to have been present in previous generations of the counselee’s family line (ref: Appendix E chapter 10 “Breaking the Power of a Curse”). The most prevalent source of these iniquities comes from memberships and vows taken in secret societies such as freemasonry as well as involvement in the occult. Many times, these curses will be exposed later whenever fragments and demons manifest, but any known claims these curses may have over the core personality should be addressed at this time.

FT-02(03). Strongholds And Imaginations

Use form FT-02(03) to document obvious strongholds known or implied from the CPI filled out by the counselee (ref: chapter 2 p.15). A list of 40+ strongholds are available to choose from. There are most certainly many others, but these are examples of those gleaned from past counseling sessions. Look for them in the responses given in the CPI and note them on the form. Also, as other strongholds come to light, add them to the data base for future use!

FT-02(04). Unforgiveness

Use form FT-02(04) to document from the CPI any unforgiveness by the counselee toward any individual in the past or present. This is one of the most important areas to deal with and also one of the most difficult to release. The secret to forgiving others is to first realize the great price Jesus Christ paid for our forgiveness by our Heavenly Father. When we truly realize this, our forgiveness of others will seem small in comparison. Often, the two forgotten individuals overlooked on this list are God and ourselves. By a decision of our will, we must be willing to forgive God for His perceived injustices brought into our lives because of sin. And we must be willing to forgive ourselves for our past as well. When the time has come to deal with this issue, don’t rush through it. Be thorough!

FT-02(05). Curses Incurred To Counselee Through Objects, Unscriptural Vows, Or Abominations

Use form FT-2(05)[3 shts] to document any objects, artwork, idols, inner vows or verbal declarations of unscriptural intentions, or acts of abomination that may have brought a curse with it into the life of the counselee.(Ref: Appendix E, Chapter 10 “Breaking the Power of a Curse”)

FT-02(06). Soul Ties

Use form FT-2(06) to identify and document any unscriptural soul-tie bonds formed. (ref: chapter 2 pg. 20). Even though both husband and wife may be Christians, if they had a sexual relationship prior to marriage, an evil soul tie portal may still exist between them.

Once you have received the completed CPI from the counselee, you will inevitably have questions and needs for clarification in order to fill in any gaps in the information available from the CPI. It is best to receive a written response from questions so that there is no misunderstanding later on. It is also very useful to have a paper trail that may be later reviewed. In addition to processing the completed and signed CPI, you should do the following:

· Send the counselee a copy of Form FT-03(chapter 7) and a copy of the booklet entitled “Finding Acceptance With Myself, Others, And God.” (Ref Appendix C chapter 7). In this form and booklet are instructions to be carried out prior to counseling. You should follow up with the counselee prior to counseling to verify that all instructions were followed

· You should fill out form FT-04 (Strategy Checklist Template- chapter 7), outlining the strategy and sequential order to be used in contacting the flip-side, fragments, the ancestral demon, etc. This strategy will constantly be updated and become more helpful as the counseling sessions advance.

· You should fill out form FT-11 Life Events Sequence Form. This is a chronological list of all significant events in the life of the counselee, especially anything that could cause trauma. Examples would be things like:

AGE 5…PARENTS GOT A DIVORCE

AGE 7…MY PUPPY DIED

AGE 9… WAS MOLESTED BY A FAMILY MEMBER ETC., ETC.

The purpose of this list is to provide a roadmap that can predict when fragmenting occurred and thus help in finding them. It is very unlikely that this list will spot all of them, but it will be a good start. Having done these things, you are now equipped to proceed to the initial session with the counselee.

SPIRITUAL WARFARE IS NOT FOR SISSIES

COUNSELOR TRAINING

4.01 FIRST SESSION WITH COUNSELEE

Before the counselee arrives for the 1st session, it is advisable to walk the boundaries of the building where the counseling will take place, prayerfully asking the Lord to seal off the ground and the air space of the building, that all fiery darts of the evil one would be quenched, that all enticements to sin would fall short of their mark, and a wall of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ would separate the counseling from the evil one.. Ask for safety, wisdom, understanding, and discernment in all things related to the sessions together. And most importantly, ask the Lord to delegate to you His scepter of divine authority over every unclean spirit during counseling time.

When the counselee arrives for counseling, he/she will be very apprehensive about what to expect. So, do everything possible to make them feel that they are in a safe place. After a brief time of settling in, the counselor should begin with a vocal prayer, asking the Lord to separate the counselee into 3 separate isolated, secure compartments:

1. The Core Personality- that portion of the soul that was lovingly conceived in the mind of God in eternity past and is the essence of his/her unique existence that was formed in His image.

2. The Flipside and All Personality Fragments of the core personality that are walled off and functioning independently from the core personality.

3. All demonic entities of any form, purpose, or hierarchy that have any presence or claim on the life of the counselee.

After separating the counselee into these 3 parts, ask the Lord to bring up the core personality and confirm his/her salvation by asking him/her to give you a very brief description of the circumstances surrounding their salvation. If there is still any reasonable doubt as to his/her salvation, ask if they would like to reaffirm their salvation in a verbal prayer to the Lord (see chapter 8, Prayer #1). If they are unwilling to do so, it is advisable to terminate the counseling until such time as the counselee is ready to fully surrender his/her life to the Lord. Otherwise, much time will be wasted and nothing will be accomplished.

The counseling process can be broken down into approximately 9 basic incremental parts. There will most assuredly be unplanned detours along the way, but as long as you follow the protocols specified herein and there are no hidden skeletons that the counselee is unwilling to release, I firmly believe that the Lord will be faithful to eventually see you through to victory as he has done repeatedly for me.

If the counselee has passed all tests of salvation, then share with the counselee all information compiled from the CPI of the 6 categories of forms FT-02(01 through 06) located in chapter 7. Have the counselee confirm whether each item on the forms is still an issue or not and, if possible, at what age it first became an issue. Check off each one that applies. If there is any doubt whether a listing on the forms is still relevant, it would be best to include it to make sure all bases are covered. Confirm with the counselee his/her commitment to confess each item from all 6 forms to the Lord in the forthcoming prayer. Then, lead the counselee in Prayer #2 (chapt 8), asking him/her to repeat after you, but spoken from his/her own heart. This will be the longest prayer of any during the counseling period but it is essential to get through it. When the prayer reaches a point where a particular list is called upon to be confessed, then use the contents of the appropriate FT-02-XX form.

The flow chart on the right shows the basic steps in the first stage of the process, i.e., completing the cleansing prayer to restore all surrendered ground in the core personality possibly held captive by Satan’s surrogates due to sin of one form or another.

Review last minute instructions with counselee as specified on form FT-05 “Last minute instructions”:

· While the counselee should pray with eyes closed, you should always pray with your eyes open in order to monitor whatever is taking place at all times. Be vigilant to observe facial expressions or any other sign that a fragmented personality or demon is in the process of manifesting.

· The counselee needs to report anything unusual that he/she senses while you both are working together. It may be a sudden emotion, discomfort, or voices inside his/her head, etc. He/she should not try to interpret or filter these things before reporting them to you, but rather furnish you the raw data to interpret. Strive to write down everything that you witness because this is usually valuable information! These signs are useful handles for summoning whoever is causing them.

· Remind the counselee that the Lord is in charge of things and he/she is to be in a spirit of prayer at all times.

…greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. 1 John 4:4b

· It is very important for the counselee to keep you informed of what he/she senses. At times, they may experience a sense of confusion or chaos going on inside themselves, or possibly feel nothing at all. As progress is being made and milestones are reached, the counselee should begin to feel an increasing sense of peace. What does the peace of God feel like? It may be a bit hard to describe, but you know it when it’s there and that it is from the Lord! It is the antithesis of all of our damaging emotions…of fear, anxiety, rage, confusion, guilt, etc. If “progress” does not yield a growing sense of peace, it typically means that something isn’t right and you will need to find out what went wrong and address it. For example, it could be that you have been dealing with a demonic imposter; or it could mean that there is a secret sin in the life of the counselee that has not been addressed. It could be any number of things, so stop and prayerfully work through it together before moving forward.

You are now ready to enter into the inner sanctum of the soul and it should be done cautiously and reverently. In order to prepare the counselee for this journey, I would suggest that a carefully chosen song be played to usher you both into the next phase. An appropriate song is one that draws our spirit into the presence of the Lord. The song chosen should also ideally reflect, if possible, the unique circumstances of the person you are counseling, For example,

If the counselee is overwhelmed with fear as a dominant emotion, a good choice would be:

“No Need To Fear” by Wintly Phipps

If the counselee struggles with a prideful spirit, a good choice would be:

“Keeper of the Door” by Twyla Paris

If the counselee has crippling feelings of abandonment/rejection, a good choice would be:

“ I Won’t Have to Cross Jordan Alone” by Steve Amerson Etc., etc.

As the song concludes, the counselee should have his/her eyes closed in preparation for what is to come.

As you progress through the counseling process, always keep in the forefront of your mind the objective before you, i.e.,

1. To make contact with the flip side (aka alter-ego) and all fragmented personalities of the soul.

2. To free those walled off areas of the soul from spiritual bondage caused by some form of sin or inheritance through repentance and prayer.

3. To fuse and integrate those personality fragments with the core personality, bringing wholeness and spiritual freedom to the soul.

4. To cast out all demons and any form of evil that has resided in their network

4.02 HEALING THE FLIPSIDE

Since the Flipside alter normally carries around 80% of all surrendered ground in the soul controlled by the ancestral demon, it is the logical first contact to reclaim from the demon network. However, there may be circumstances where suspected fragment(s) may be a good alternative place to start. A Flipside will not exist at all unless an ancestral demon passed down through the family line. Because of the importance of the Flipside to the ancestral demon, he will typically resist all efforts to contact it. The ancestral demon may come up himself masquerading as the Flipside, or he may send up a clone, etc. Therefore, if there appears to be strong evidence of a fragment existing at a certain age, it is perfectly okay to start there. For the sake of this discussion, we’ll assume that the starting point is with the Flipside.

In a spirit of prayer, ask the Lord to bring up to you the Flipside personality. The Flipside personality may have one of a whole range of personalities, from cocky and belligerent to fearful and timid. Use a copy of form FT-06 to write down all information gained, treating the personality with dignity and compassion, realizing that it is a part of the core until such time as circumstances prove otherwise.

Each question on form FT-06 has a purpose which will help in identifying the authenticity of who you are speaking with and provide valuable information to facilitate the process of restoring the alter as part of the core. Those questions are as follows:

a.) Name/Age?

The name of Flipside will usually have a degrading, cynical, or emotionally charged name such as “Who Cares” or “I Have No name”, or “Worthless”, or “Anger, etc. Don’t be confused by the name given. During my very first counseling assignment several years ago, the flipside came up and responded that its name was “Who cares?”. I thought I was interacting with a smart aleck demon or the core but in fact I was talking to the Flipside whose name was “Who Cares”. The age of Flipside will always be the same as the core personality since it has been present since shortly after conception. If a different age is given, it is not the Flipside- it is most likely a demon.

b.) Can you tell me something about yourself?

This gives the Flipside an opportunity to express their self-awareness and reduce the tension of mistrust they may have of you. Also, it may possibly expose lies and strongholds that have been part of their thinking that has been manipulated by the ancestral boss demon.

c.) Why didn’t you receive salvation @ ___ years old like the core?

The answer to this question by Flipside will usually shed some light on the frame of reference that the Flipside has toward the core personality and God, all of which has been programmed by the ancestral demon boss since birth. By being under the control of the ancestral demon for his/her entire existence, he/she will be experientially unsaved. But positionally, he/she is still technically saved as part of the core’s position with the Lord. However, in order to bring wholeness and unity to the core’s soul, Flipside must freely confess with his/her mouth what the core believes in his/her heart.

• If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,[positionally] and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved [experientially]. Romans 10: 9,10

d.) “When you’re in charge, what type of things do you do in the core’s life?”

The ancestral boss demon has had control of the Flipside’s mind, will, and emotions for the core’s whole life and has used that jurisdictional authority to manipulate and torment the Flipside and the core. The Flipside has been duped into believing that he/she is controlling the core, when, in reality the ancestral demon is controlling him/her. The works of the flipside against the core need to be documented on form FT-06. When the Flipside receives Christ, these works against the core will be a part of his/her repentance prayer.

e.) “Do you find satisfaction in tormenting the core?”

If the Flipside answers that question with the equivalent of a solid “yes”, then you are talking with a demon, not the Flipside! Flipside does not desire to destroy the core, nor does he/she find satisfaction in tormenting the core. But Flipside has no respect for the core personality and torments him/her with destructive accusations and emotions, self-loathing, enticements to destructive behavior, etc. all at the behest of the ancestral boss demon. Yet the Flipside hates what he does. By gently drawing Flipside’s attention to his own tormented life, the counselor is able to witness to him and give him a vision of hope and purpose in life by uniting with the core.

f.) “What emotions trigger you and manipulate your life?

The answer to this question will give some insight into the works that the Flipside is tormented with, and what he perpetrates upon the core.

Once Form FT-06 has been filled out, write in Flipside’s name in the designated area at the top of form FT-02(01) that was previously populated with negative traits gleaned from the CPI. Ask Flipside if he/she contributes to each negative trait in the life of the core personality. Call out each line item and record the feedback from Flipside. It would be very unusual for the Flipside to have been involved in less than 80% of the items listed on the inventory sheet.

Then proceed to witness to Flipside , including an explanation of how he/she came into being, the demonic bondage he/she is in, and the opportunity to fulfil God’s highest calling upon his/her life by receiving Christ, and becoming one with the core. There may be some push back, but Flipside will, with very rare exceptions agree to receive Christ and unite with the core. At this point, lead the Flipside in a salvation prayer (prayer #5- chapter #8).

At the conclusion of the salvation prayer for former Flipside’s salvation, prayerfully ask the Lord to summon the core personality to join you and former Flipside. The process is completed by the counselor leading the core personality in a prayer to the Lord (prayer #6A), fusing and integrating the core and Flipside into a unified whole. After the integration of each alter, whether it be the Flipside or a fragmented part, ask the counselee what he/she senses…either chaos, nothing, or peace. If the integration has been successful, the core personality should sense a progressive sense of peace. If not, it would be wise to determine what, if anything went wrong. Once the integration of the core personality and Flipside has taken place, the Flipside will have ceased to exist. Therefore, to determine if there were problems, try to call up “the one who identified him/herself as the Flipside [name]”. If the personality returns, it will be necessary to validate his/her identity. It may be a demon masquerading as an alter or the Flipside (discussed in chapter 5, page 6).

When witnessing to the Flipside or a fragment, it is in the realm of possibility that he/she will adamantly refuse the Lord’s offer of salvation and integration with the core personality. If, after exhausting all pleadings, the Flipside still rejects the Lord’s offer of salvation and reunification with the core, the counselor must explain to Flipside that rebellion against God’s best for his/her life is like cancer… it cannot stay in the body…it must be either healed or removed.

“Rebellious Flipside [name]… if you refuse to choose God’s highest calling and blessing for your life, you will leave me no choice but to have you removed and forever blood-linked to the ancestral demon boss. The final destination for the ancestral demon boss is the Lake of fire and you will accompany him forever bound together”. Quote appropriate scripture to Flipside:

• He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1

• …Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. Matthew 12:25

• …If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell. Matthew 5:29-30

After one final plea, the counselor must sadly proceed with a prayer to the Lord, plucking out the Flip-side, blood-linking him to the ancestral demon boss. I have never actually had to do this in my counseling experience, but I have come very close. I don’t know what it means to have part of your soul surgically removed in our temporary dwelling here on earth, but I am confident that if we abide in Him and His words abide in us, He will provide all our needs and ultimately restore all that was lost.

Prior to fusing and integrating the former Flipside to the core personality, former Flipside (now saved) may be able to assist in identifying fragments in the spiritual realm of the counselee’s soul and can act as proxy for them to be healed as well. The procedure for this is explained on pages 8-10 of this chapter pertaining to healing the fragments.

4.03 HEALING PERSONALITY FRAGMENTS

Fragments of personality are healed in a similar fashion as the Flipside with a few exceptions. The existence of a flipside personality means that the soul exists as a duplex with a saved core personality on one side of the duplex and the unsaved Flipside on the other side of the duplex. Since fragmentation of the soul can occur on either side of the duplex, fragmented personalities may be saved or experientially unsaved depending on which side of the duplex they were formed. However, to simplify the interview process with each fragment, assume each fragment is either unsaved or needs to reaffirm their salvation. In that way, they all pray a common prayer and have the same opportunity to make a fresh commitment to the Lord.

Unlike the flipside, the ages of fragments can be anywhere from pre-birth up to the present age of the counselee. In preparation for counseling these fragments, the counselor will have previously filled out form # FT-11 documenting trauma-causing life events as gleaned from the Confidential Personal Inventory (CPI). This completed form will assist the counselor in determining the approximate ages and number of fragments to expect. Whether you begin searching for alters before or after the Flipside is normally not important. You may start with the low hanging fruit by searching for fragments at an age when there was a lot of trauma or by asking the Lord to bring forth individual fragments of His choosing. Then, at some point, go for the Flipside. However, if the fragment is very young, they may be scared or intimidated by the ancestral demon to such an extent that they will refuse to cooperate at this point. If such is the case, starting with the flip side may be the best option.

In searching for fragmented parts, follow the same procedure as described for Flipside by offering up a prayer to the Lord that he bring forward the requested fragment or one of His choosing. After introductions, verify credentials, gather information and document it using form #FT-06 and #FT-02(01) as was done with Flipside. Then explain in general terms to the fragment how he/she came into being due to trauma and empathize with him/her regarding the burden they are carrying. Witness to them about God’s love for them and offer a pathway to lifting their burden by receiving Christ, and reuniting with the core. One again, there may be some pushback, but with genuine patience, sincerity, and genuine concern for them, they will accept the offer. Sometimes they will resist the offer because they are afraid that they will die if they say “yes”. I explain to them that if a beautiful priceless heirloom vase falls to the floor and the handle beaks off, the value of the vase suffers and the handle becomes of little value. It is only when the handle is restored as part of the vase that the value and beauty of the vase is restored to something greater than the individual parts. We are all priceless works in the hands of the divine potter.

Unlike Flipside, fragments may be a very young. In such cases, witnessing to the fragment may have to be tailored to their age and level of understanding. Witnessing to them may be as simple as asking them if they would like to give all their hurts and fears to Jesus who loves them and let Jesus come into their heart. They don’t necessarily have to understand any details more complicated than that. Likewise, their salvation prayer should be age appropriate. Choose the proper salvation prayer to pray with them according to their age. Use one of these sample prayers as examples:

Age 7+ ….Use Prayer #7A

Age 4-6 …Use Prayer #7B

Age 0-3 …Use Prayer #7C

Once the fragment you have been working with has either prayed to receive Christ or has rededicated themselves to the Lord, the fragment can be fused and integrated with the core personality. Once that has been successfully completed, the fragment will no longer exist.

As long as there are fragments present in the spiritual domain of the soul, there will likely be demons hiding among them with legal rights to remain. Depending upon the severity and duration of trauma experienced by the counselee, there may be many dozens of fragments present and it could require a significant amount of time to restore all of them if done individually. Therefore, if the now-saved fragment you are working with is a caretaker or baby sitter for other fragments (as is sometimes the case), the now-saved fragment can assist in identifying and acting as a proxy for interviewing other fragments if done prior to integrating the now-saved fragment to the core personality. The now-saved fragment, if determined to be mature enough, can also help in rounding up any other available fragments in the system and act as a proxy for them. However, it is advisable to gain some experience with fusing/integrating alters before utililizing this technique.

First, ask the now-saved Fragment if he/she is a caretaker or babysitter for any other fragments. If so, ask now-saved fragment to gather them all together, perform a head count, and assist in verifying credentials. If there are no fragments under the direct care of the now-saved fragment, ask the Lord to put the now-saved fragment on a pedestal so that he/she can see clearly. Then ask the now-saved fragment what he/she sees. Amazingly, the now-saved fragment will typically be able to see and scrutinize his/her surroundings and usually see several others. Ask the now-saved fragment to call them over and ask them to hear your offer from the Lord in His behalf. Then check everyone’s credentials as explained in chapter 5, page 7. All who fail the test of credentials are masquerading demons. Pray for the Lord to bloodlink them to the boss demon of the network with ties that cannot be broken. For those fragments that remain, get an updated head count, documenting their names and ages on form #FT-02(01). Explain their origin, offering them salvation and reunification with the core as was shared with the now-saved fragment. Using the now-saved fragment as a proxy, get a show of hands of all who wish to pray to receive it. If there is one or more who refuses, ask the now-saved fragment if you can speak directly with those who refused. Appeal to them in the same way that you may have had to appeal to the now-saved fragment. Continue to use the now-saved fragment as a proxy to pray in behalf of the other fragments using prayer #5C. Verify through the now-saved fragment that all prayed and sense a peace about their decision.

Ask the Lord to bring forth the core personality to join all of the now-saved fragments. Then lead the core personality in a prayer to the Lord using prayer #5D to fuse and integrate all of them as a unified whole. Afterwards, verify that all fragments were fused and integrated with the core. If not, It is likely that a demon is involved and you will need to find out why. The demon boss will know the cause, so use him as a resource. Once the roadblock has been found and reconciled, the counselee should now sense a growing sense of peace. If there is a sense of chaos, anxiety or other negative emotion as a result, take steps as mentioned earlier to find out what went wrong. Continue searching for fragmented personalities in the same way as described above until there are no more fragments that come forward.

The use of the flip side or a fragment to find other fragments is only a means of conserving counsel time and is not required for success. You can always heal and fully integrate each alter individually until you feel comfortable in using proxies. (See flow sheet below.)As a footnote to all of this, if it seems very confusing and perhaps a bit bizarre at this point, you are in good company. To understand all the shrouded mysteries of the soul is probably beyond human understanding. But the Lord has pulled back the veil enough for us to be a part of the healing process for those who have suffered much at the hands of this evil dispensation in which we live. The multitudes of those who have been healed and gone on to courageously serve the Lord are a testimony of the Lord’s hand being upon it !

CHAPTER 4

HEALING THE ALTERS

5.01 UNDERSTANDING DEMONS

Although it is unwise for Christians to unduly direct their attention to the details of evil, it is important for you as a counselor to know who the enemy is and their modus operandi.

“…lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices” [neither should we be.] 2 Corinthians 2:11

Background information on the biblical origin of demons and the boundaries of their influence on Christians is addressed in Appendix A & B of chapter 10. It can also be very beneficial to draw from the shared experiences of veteran counselors who are in the trenches of spiritual warfare counseling. But in doing so, we must always be diligent not to venture outside the boundaries of scripture or the principles of scripture. It is the intent of this chapter to provide sufficient information for successful counseling within those boundaries.

Demons, like those of the human race, vary in their temperament, intelligence, and rank. However, without exception, they are irreversibly evil and loyal only to Satan the father of lies, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy anything and everything associated with the plans and intents of God. They are vile creatures who are to be shown no mercy, for to do so will only be a snare to those who do otherwise.

Demons operate in very structured hierarchies and rank, and are presumably promoted or demoted according to the success of assignments given them.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

There are two important concepts that all demons understand and are ultimately constrained by, i.e., legal rights and authority. Wherever Sin exists in a nation, a kingdom, or the human heart, God allows demonic hosts to have access there and stake a claim as well. It is doubtful that any of us will fully understand on this side of heaven why they would be allowed to remain in existence at all, but it appears to have something to do with The Lord’s desire to reveal and bring understanding of His character and His ways to all of His creation, long hidden in eternity past. Had sin not entered the heavenly realm and subsequently, the human realm, justice and mercy would have remained unknown attributes of God.

To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things which angels desire to look into.1Peter 1:12

Demons have been granted legal rights and authority to inhabit any realm where sin abides and is in control. However, we, as God’s children, have been granted authority over that evil if we come against it in the name and the power of the Lord. Just as an eagle is subject to the law of gravity, when he spreads his wings, the law of aerodynamics supersedes the law of gravity. Even so, we are subject to the laws of sin and its consequences, but when we spread our spiritual wings through abiding in Him and allowing His Word to abide in us , we are given authority and jurisdiction over the laws of sin. It is important in the counseling sessions to confront demons with God’s authority over them using God’s Word. They will certainly challenge it and test its strength but will ultimately be subject to it. The basis of our authority over them is as follows:

1. YESHUA HAMASHIACH POSSESSES ALL AUTHORITY AND HAS DELEGATED IT TO HIS DISCIPLES

• ...And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Matthew 28:18

• Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

2. OUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN AND SATAN NO LONGER HAS ANY CLAIM ON OUR SPIRIT

• He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13, 14

3. WE HAVE RECEIVED A CLEAN CONSCIENCE TO SERVE GOD AND SHARE IN HIS INHERITANCE

• For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God 15 And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:13-15

• Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:20

4. GOD’S WRATH AGAINST US HAS BEEN SATISFIED

• …Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation [appeasement] by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. Romans 3:24-26

5. WE HAVE BEEN GIVEN AN ASSURANCE OF JUDGMENT THAT IS COMING UPON THE UNRIGHTEOUS.

• When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. Revelation 6:9-11

5.01.A Ancestral or “Boss” Demon

A demonic network present within the inner recesses of a human soul will normally be ruled by one demon who is the “boss”, and all other demons in the network will report to him. This demon will then attach itself to areas of the soul (mind/will/emotions) as a result of moral transgressions committed by the host, or from an extended negative response to trauma, or from a demon(s) passed down through the family line prior to birth. He will waste no time in building and expanding his network as the fallout of sin proliferates through the soul of his host.

Whenever a demon of any level of authority manifests during a counseling session, he normally should be dealt with at that time; but otherwise, the counselor should deal with the boss demon when circumstances require it. This boss demon will be able to provide all information needed. The name he gives himself will oftentimes be the full formal name of the counselee, especially if he established his network through inherited iniquities, but it is possible that the name may vary. If, however, his name does match the formal name of the counselee, it is almost surely an ancestral demon boss that has traveled down through the family line. When he manifests and gives his name as the core personality, don’t make the mistake of automatically assuming it is the core personality of the counselee you are speaking with.

The boss demon does not normally want his presence known outside of his network and will resist coming forward when commanded to do so by the counselor. He will often send up decoys masquerading as himself, or as a fragmented personality, or as the alter-ego(“Flipside”). If there is a secret sin in the counselee’s life that has not been confessed and completely cleansed, the boss demon may exercise his legal rights to resist coming forward at all if summoned. When such circumstances occur, it will be the task of the counselor, through prayer and collaboration with the counselee, to determine if there is some secret sin that needs to be cleansed before progress can be advanced. Fortunately, at the appointed time, the Lord will provide all assistance needed to continue making progress if we are prayerfully unrelenting. There will usually be clues along the way that point to the reason for lack of progress. For this reason, it is very important that the counselor strives to write down every word spoken during a counseling session, if possible. Prayerfully reviewing the transcript after a session is over will many times give the Lord opportunity to reveal what went wrong and what needs to be done about it. It is important to never lose sight of the fact that success comes only by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ and not of human effort or worldly wisdom and we must approach all difficulties during counseling from this perspective. Sometimes, when a counselor hits a brick wall of opposition, as frustrating as it may seem, it is because the Lord wants us to pause so that He can teach us something or to direct our priorities in another direction.

5.01.B Gatekeeper Demon

Demons within the network who stand on certain categories of sinful ground in the counselee’s life may have specific assignments for hindering counseling progress. One such demon assignment is that of a gatekeeper. This demon hides and guards access to where the fragmented personality alters are housed and hinders them from coming forward and being healed.

The gatekeeper demon also controls traffic into and out of the network. For example, as long as the gatekeeper stands on surrendered ground of unforgiveness by the counselee toward someone, he can keep the door open for other demons of bitterness, anger, revenge, etc. The counselee may offer prayers of confession and repentance for bitterness, anger, revenge, etc. but he/she will not be able to conquer them until unforgiveness held by the gatekeeper is first cleansed. Then and only then will the counselee have the capacity to gain freedom from the bondage incurred by the gatekeeper and the other demons. In smaller networks, the ancestral demon boss may in fact be the gatekeeper himself. Once the gatekeeper is exposed, he is to be dealt with as with any other demon. Whenever there is difficulty in bringing up a personality that you are convinced is there, suspect a gatekeeper and ask the Lord to bring the gatekeeper up for interrogation if he exists.

5.01C Demon Produced Personalities

A demon produced personality is a demon that has assumed the personality and the identity of another person known by the host or related to the host. This could be an ancestor, a family member, or any perpetrator of past trauma in the life of the host. They may manifest unexpectedly during any given segment of counsel time prior to being exposed and dealt with. This can cause great confusion if not recognized for what they are. They typically serve one of two purposes in the torment of the host:

1. To Carry Out The Provisions Of A Curse

A curse that has passed down through the family line of the host usually has its origin from an ancestor of the host. That ancestor of the counselee, having committed some form of iniquity, caused a curse and a demon associated with the curse to flow down to succeeding generations. This iniquity could be such things as taking a demonic ritualistic oath, involvement with the occult, shedding innocent blood, etc. The assignment given this demonic personality associated with the curse is to carry out the provisions of the curse in the life of the host who inherited it. The name of the demon and his personality will often be that of an ancestor who is responsible for the entrance of the curse into the family line. That is why knowing as much as possible about the counselee’s family tree may significantly help in understanding the dynamics of the demonic bondage.

Example :

An ancestor of the counselee, a freemason, takes an oath as part of a ritual for becoming a 33rd degree mason and pledges ownership of himself and all future generations to Satan in return for wealth, power, or prestige among his peers. A demon is then programmed as a “Manchurian Candidate” of that ancestor, who assumes the name of the ancestor and follows the family line through subsequent generations to facilitate the bondage and enslavement of the descendant through whom the curse passes.

2.. To Intensify The Trauma Caused By Another Person

Example:

A person is sexually molested and severely traumatized by another person and subsequently experiences ongoing intense emotions of fear, rage, shame. If the emotional fallout lingers without taking it to the cross in prayer and leaving it there, an opening can be formed, allowing a demon to enter and attach itself to the mind/will/emotions of the victim of the trauma. This demon then may assume the personality of the original molester and relentlessly provoke & perpetuate the memories and emotions caused by the original trauma relentlessly.

Some of the characteristics that may indicate the presence of a demon produced personality would include:

1. The counselee regularly experiences the same memories and/or emotions that occurred during an initial traumatic event.

2. The name of the manifesting personality has a name of someone known to the host or of someone who is an ancestor of the host.

3. The manifesting personality expresses a desire to harm or kill the counselee, not merely to control or manipulate the host. Normally, an alter will not have any desire to destroy the core. His/her desire is to control or “help” the core. Ask the personality his intentions.

4. They may sometimes be of the opposite sex from the one they were copied from depending on the strategy employed to torment the counselee. (e.g. if a young boy is sexually attacked by a man, the demon that enters the network may manifest as a woman to draw him into sexual encounters with other men or attempt to convince the core that the sexual identity given them at birth was a mistake, opening the door to transgender surgery ).

5.01D Demon Clones

Demon clones are parasitic demons similar to demon produced personalities in that they have been given the task of impersonating a real person. However, clones are distinguished by their impersonation of fragmented personalities of the counselee, the alter-ego (Flipside), the core personality or even the ancestral boss demon himself! They will then attach themselves to the personality they are impersonating and act as a strategic decoy for use by the ancestral boss demon. Some of their characteristics are as follows:

• · They will sometimes have a name which is consistent with or similar to the personality fragment they were copied from (bitterabitterness, angeraangry, etc.)They will be the same age as the one they were copied from. They are usually uncovered toward the end of the counseling process when the boss demon claims no legal right to remain in the network, yet still successfully refuses to leave. The reason for this may be that the person who you thought was the demon boss was, in fact, a clone of the demon boss. Therefore, the one you were speaking to was telling you the truth when he said he had no legal rights to remain but he was only a clone of the ancestral demon boss, who does still have legal rights!

• · Likewise, the counselor may be leading who he believes to be the core personality or a personality fragment in a prayer of repentance and restoration, not realizing that the one who he is talking with and leading in prayer is, in fact, a demon clone of the core personality who cannot repent or be restored! If undetected, this will cause much frustration, confusion, and delays in the counseling process. Follow normal protocols for identifying clones as with any other demon. Once a demon clone attaches itself to a fragmented personality, it can remain in the network even after the personality fragment that it was copied from has been fused and integrated to the core. Under these circumstances, the clone does not have any legal rights to remain in the network, but his ongoing presence in the network will give the ancestral boss demon legal rights to remain. Therefore, the clone must, through prayer, be plucked out and attached to the boss demon so that nothing will be left behind..

5.04 DISPATCHING THE DEMONS

When all fragmented parts and alters of the counselee’s soul have been fused and integrated to the core personality, and all legal rights of the evil one to occupy a place in the soul of the child of God have been surrendered, then the demon boss and all of his surrogates can be cast out. With the demon boss incarcerated and bound in chains, pray Prayer #14. In extremely powerful demonic entanglements, such as Satanic Ritual Abuse survivors, the short interval of praying this prayer may cause a violent struggle within the counselee as the demon network fights to stay entrenched. This will abruptly end once Prayer #14 is complete and there will immediately be a peaceful calm experienced by the counselee that surpasses all understanding..

After the counselee has regained his/her composure, ask what [he/she] is sensing…either peace, chaos, or nothing at all. If the counselee has indeed been totally freed from demonic bondage, then there should be a significant and sometimes overwhelming sense of peace that engulfs the counselee. Regardless of the emotions sensed as a result of casting out the demon network, you should test to validate whether the demon boss is still present or anything was left behind. Do this by praying Prayer #15.

If a personality manifests, then there probably is still some hidden ground to be flushed out.To discover what this hidden ground is, return to Chapter 5 Sect. #5.02 & 5.04 and repeat the protocols mentioned in those sections.

With no further evidence that any bondage remains, lead the counselee in a prayer asking for peace as evidence of freedom (Prayer #16)…

…And as a final capstone of all that has taken place…lead counselee in a prayer of Thanksgiving (Prayer #17)

5.01E DEMONIC PROCESSING

A simplified flow diagram shown above explains the basic steps for processing a demon. They will try to intimidate you, confuse you, or simply waste time in an effort to run out the clock. Therefore, it is extremely important to stay focused on the goal in front of you and avoid any needless conversations or interaction. During any of these confrontations with evil, never forget who is ultimately in control of all that takes place.

• You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4

Another tactic of the boss demon is to clone the core using another demon and program him to become active at a future date. This is sometime referred to as a “demon seed”. A demon seed has no legal rights until it “germinates” and attaches itself to the core personality at a future date. It’s as if the boss demon is securing surrendered ground on the layaway plan. It must also be identified and plucked out in prayer and blood-linked to the boss demon before it germinates. When the boss demon has finally relinquished its legal rights to remain, all others blood-linked to the boss demon will leave when he leaves. If the counselor remains unaware of these false impersonators, a significant amount of time can be lost and progress will grind to a halt!

In order to detect and avoid being deceived by demonic impersonations during counseling sessions, it is very important to ask the right questions. For example, consider the following question and the implications of the answer:

“What is your age?”

• · The flipside will always be the same age as the core personality. If the counselee is 27 years old, the flipside will always be 27 years old as well. A Flipside that gives his age different from the core personality is a demon.

• · A fragment will always be the age that it split from the core personality. If the fragment was formed by trauma at the age of 7, the fragmented personality will typically be 7 years old in speech and mannerisms as well.

• · A demon will often avoid giving a precise answer or will give an answer totally inconsistent with the circumstances. If the core personality is 27 years old and the manifesting personality identifying himself/herself as the core personality says he/she is 30 years old, it will be a demon.

• · A demon clone will normally specify an age consistent with the one who he was cloned from, making him much harder to detect.

If there is any concern whatsoever as to who you are dealing with (a personality or a demon), it is wise to validate their credentials. In such cases, prayerfully ask the Lord to reveal it to you. The flow chart shown here is a simple step-by-step process for exposing a demonic imposter. It would be wise to validate each personality in this manner as they manifest.

The normal course of action in the counseling process of finding, healing, and integrating the alter ego and personality fragments is to first bind the demonic network in prayer. However, unresolved sin and other issues in the counselee’s life give the boss demon the authority to resist a frontal attack against his network of demons and he or one of his surrogates will often manifest in an attempt block progress. The counselor should be prepared for this eventuality. Once it is determined that a demon has manifested, use form FT-07 (chapter 10) for interrogating him and processing him. Conversely, there are other times when it is necessary to confront the boss demon by calling him to attention to obtain information not otherwise available, such as:

• · Identifying any ancestral curses in the family line passed down to the counselee.

• · To confirm that no legal rights remain for any of the demonic network.

The boss demon may resist manifesting under these circumstances and a struggle will ensue. Typical symptoms within the counselee that occur whenever a power struggle is in progress:

• · Twitching of the face

• · A tingling sensation throughout the body

• · Nausea

• · Headache

• · Pain in the back of the neck

5.02 CONFIRM ALL “LEGAL RIGHTS” HAVE BEEN RECLAIMED

Once the core personality has confessed all known sin and all alters and personality fragments have been uncovered and fused/integrated with the core, the time has come to confront the boss demon to determine what, if anything, is left that would give him and his network of demons the authority to remain. There will be resistance from the demon boss. It may come in the form of a refusal to present himself for interrogation or by manifestations with deception and intimidation. It is important to stand firm in the strength of the Lord during these confrontations and have a mindset that you are a child of the omnipotent Lord Jesus Christ who has ordained you as an advocate for another of his children. He has given you the scepter of his authority over all the power of the enemy, so use it! When the demon manifests, demand that he answer you with “yes sir” or “yes ma’am”. Back it up with an arsenal of scripture to quote if need be and dare him to refute God’s word that you remind him of (ref: chapter 9 ‘Authority [of Christ]’) Then warn him that God will not be mocked…whatever he sows with his lack of cooperation, he will reap from the Lord long before he is ultimately thrown in the lake of fire!

There will typically be hidden information that only the demon boss can reveal. One of these areas involves a curse. As previously mentioned, a curse originates with spoken words or a secret vow, pledge or blood pact initiated either by the counselee or inherited from an ancestor. A curse will continue down the family line until it is not only confessed, but also verbally and audibly renounced. If the demon boss has a hidden secret, you will have to ask the demon the right questions in order for him to reveal what it is. Questions that initially demand a “yes” or “no” answer work best. For example:

• · “Do you have a secret that gives you legal rights to remain?”

• · “Does it involve a curse?”

• · “Were vows taken?”

• · “Who took the vow?”

• · “What were the provisions of the curse?”

• · “Do all of your answers stand as truth before the throne of Yeshua Hamashiach, who conquered death and before Him only Truth can stand?”

Once you have enough information to renounce the curse and destroy its power, put the bound up demon boss aside temporarily and lead the counselee in a renunciation prayer. For curses whose origin is from the counselee, use prayer template #FT-08 (chapter 7). For those curses initiated by an ancestor, use prayer template #FT-09 (chapter 7). As a caution to both the counselor and counselee, be aware that ancestral curses may have been in a family for perhaps many generations and have become a very powerful tool of the enemy. When the core personality begins to repeat his portion of the renunciation prayer, expect intense resistance from the one who holds the legal rights of the curse. The core’s portion of the prayer is intentionally as short and to the point as possible to minimize the time it takes to get through it. It may take considerable resolve to get through it, but on the other side of the struggle will be incredible peace and freedom!

Whenever the demon boss is summoned by the counselor for interrogation, there can be several reasons that explain why the demon is able to remain hidden and refuses to come forward. such as:

· 1. THE COUNSELOR IS NOT SPECIFIC ENOUGH IN WHO IS BEING SUMMONED

Demons, for whatever reason, may sometimes avoid being cornered by offering up legalistic arguments as to why they do not have to obey their summons. Therefore, be as specific as possible when identifying who you bring up for interrogation. If the name of the demon is unknown, identify him by something he said or work he is responsible for, such as:

• “…the one who said [thus and so]”

• “…the one associated with [some work/event]” etc.

· 2. A DEMON CLONE MAY HAVE BEEN SENT UP, MASQUERADING AS THE CORE.`

The demon boss may send up a clone of the core personality. As a result, you may think that you are talking with the core when, in fact, you are actually speaking with a demon! If the counselor suspects that something doesn’t seem right, then validate the personality’s credentials through prayer

· 3. THE DEMON MAY HAVE TRANSFERRED OUT OF THE NETWORK

In such cases,

• · Pray to recall the demon from any open portal of a soul tie or from any hidden corner of the network; then…

• · Seal off all traffic in/out of network

· 4. DEMON IS HIDING IN SECRET/UNREPENTANT GROUND OR STRONGHOLD IN THE CORE

The most likely hindrance will be the iniquity associated with the demon’s entrance into the network that is still unconfessed and therefore still present. To investigate this possibility, do the following:

• · Review event sequence and Pray for discernment in finding secret ground.

• · Consult with the Core personality to determine what that sin might be.

• · Ask the Lord to bring up the specific demon that has any secret mindset & interrogate him on what his legal rights are to remain in the network.

• · Carefully consider forgiveness of self/God, sexual immorality, occult, rejection, shame

• · Once found, lead in confession/reclaiming surrendered ground/tearing down strongholds. Then retry to bring up demon.

· 5. COUNSELEE MAY NOT BE TRULY SAVED.

If this is the case, there is no remedy except to witness to the counselee for salvation or reaffirm a previous commitment.

· 6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS BETWEEN COUNSELEE AND GOD

· * Lack Of Baptism. This should be by immersion as an important symbolic act identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ from the grave

· * Doctrinal Error Of the Counselee exists that has not been identified

* Deity Of Christ (Colossians 1:13-20)

* Assurance Of Salvation ( 1 John 5:13)

* Significance Of Baptism ( Romans 6:3-11 )

* Saved By Grace (Ephesians 2:8)

* False Tongues ( 1 Corinthians 14:21-33)

· 7. THE POWER OF THE LORD’S PRESENCE IS WEAK OR ABSENT

If such is the case:

• Make it known that the presence of the Lord (salvation) gives the counselee the power to scatter and restrain the enemy but they have to appeal to the Lord in order for Him to act!

Then it came about when the ark set out that Moses said, “Rise up, Lord! And may Your enemies be scattered, And those who hate You flee from Your presence.” And when it came to rest, he said, “Return, Lord, to the myriad thousands of Israel ” Numbers 10:35,36

8. THE DEMON HAS NO GROUND, HE KNOWS HE IS DEFEATED & TAKES HIS CHANCES BY DEFIANTLY HOLDING OUT (ESPECIALLY AN ANCESTRAL DEMON AT THE CONCLUSION OF COUNSELING

· Assuming that this is the case, pray to the Lord to throw him out. Then test the results by trying to call him back up. If nothing comes up, he’s probably gone.

There will, on occasion, be times when a demon will not cooperate, or will not provide truthful answers to questions, and generally mocks the authority of the counselor. When this situation reaches a point where no more progress can be made without the demon boss’s cooperation, you may be required to give the demon boss some incentive to cooperate by demonstrating who is in charge. I have tried different ways of doing this, such as asking the Lord to give the demon a tour of hell or allowing the demon to experience the lake of fire for a short period. I was surprised to learn that even such extreme tactics as this will not necessarily bring a demon into submission. In fact, they appear to be more frightened of retribution from their superiors than fear of torment from the lake of fire at this stage of their existence!

I have found only one incentive to be effective in achieving cooperation from the boss demon (who has authority over all other demonic entities in the network). I first ask the boss demon who is the lowest ranking peon demon in his network. Then I call up the peon demon and inform him that if the demon boss disrupts progress one more time, I will ask the Lord to make him boss of the network and make the current demon boss a peon under his authority. On each occasion that I have made this threat, no further resistance to progress was experienced. However, you have to be prepared to carry out the threat if he still resists.

Before beginning the interrogation, you, as counselor should pray, asking the Lord for:

• · The core to be put in a safe place and be able to hear all that takes place.

• · Protection and a covering of the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ over all present

• · Full delegated authority over all of the demon network

• · All demons in the network to be called in, and blood-linked together with chains that cannot be broken

• · All that is hidden to be exposed

• · All booby traps to be disarmed

• · No demon to be allowed to masquerade as someone else, or cause fear/confusion, or touch the core’s body or soul

• · All portals or exits to be sealed off so none escape

Once everything is locked down through prayer, with the confidence of all delegated authority given to you, command the boss demon of the network to present himself for interrogation. Once the boss demon manifests, warn him of the consequences of lying in the presence of the Lord. Then proceed to interrogate him regarding any hidden ground using questions that require a simple “yes” or “no” as much as possible. Verify every answer by asking him if his answer “stands as truth before the throne of Yeshua Hamashiach”

First, ask him what legal rights he has to remain in the life of the core personality [using the core’s full name, age, and age at salvation]. If the boss demon admits to having no legal rights remaining and you have no reason to question his answer, then freedom from bondage should be close at hand. If the boss demon admits to having hidden ground and is willing to state what that hidden ground is, then document that information and lock up the demon boss temporarily. Then go through the normal protocol of prayer with the core, confessing and receiving forgiveness for those sins. Then put aside the core and bring back the ancestral demon and repeat the process until there are no remaining legal rights enabling the boss demon to remain.

If there is a hidden soul tie, then the demon who stands on the surrendered ground may have escaped the network using the portal and is hiding in the demon network of another person. Verify with the boss demon that no soul tie portals are open. If so, command all who have left through a portal be recalled and the portal be sealed. Then process the demon(s) who escaped using the procedure described earlier in this section.

If there is still surrendered ground hidden by the boss demon, interrogate him in areas that are likely to hold the key information, such as:

• Demon Clones

• Mental/Physical health

• * Curses

• Strongholds

• Unforgiveness *

• The Occult

• Sexual Immorality

• Pride *

• Deception

  
  

Other options include:

• · Bypassing the boss demon altogether, asking the Lord to “bring up the one who represents any hidden ground”

• · Verify that the boss demon is not in fact a clone of himself.

• · Initiate a prayer to the Lord to bring to the core’s remembrance any remaining hidden sins that have not been addressed.

• · Give the boss demon some “incentive” to share what hidden ground remains by promoting a peon to his position of authority.

If all else fails, end the session and commit to a season of prayer and fasting; then reconvene and work through the options mentioned again. I have never had to exhaust all of the mentioned options before the Lord intervened and brought the answer. I am confident that He will intervene for you as well.

5.03 RELEASING THE CHILDREN

As explained in Chapter 2 pgs. 25-26, parents who have passed down generational iniquities, curses, and demons to their biological children have the potential to recall that inheritance and bind it to the ancestral demon(s) of the parents. Thus, when the ancestral boss demon and his network are cast out of the parents, the inherited baggage of the children will also leave with them! Generally, there are at least two necessary conditions for this to be possible:

· The children must normally be under 20 years of age. Once the children have reached the age of 20, they have presumably reached accountability and must deal with any demonic inheritance themselves. I have been told of reports from other counselors that in certain extreme extenuating circumstances, the Lord has extended mercy and allowed the parents to recall generational inheritances from their children who are older than 20. However, I have not personally experienced this.

· The legal parents should first restore the surrendered ground of their own souls before seeking help for their children who suffer from inherited demonic-inspired bondage.

The process, in its most simplistic explanation involves 4 steps:

• 1. Gather information from the parental boss demon all evil inherited by the children (Chapter 7 / form FT-12A).

• 2. Petition the Lord through a parental prayer seeking forgiveness/cleansing of all spiritual bondage passed down to the children (Prayer #12)

• 3. Restore the child’s personality fragments into a unified whole (Prayer #12)

• 4. Remove all demons residing in the children & bind them to the demon boss of the Parent (prayer #12)

Prior to seeking release of the counselee’s children, pray on behalf of the counselee, binding any demonic interference over the children (prayer #FT-11A). Then, call to attention the ancestral boss demon and warn him of consequences for a lack of cooperation. The ancestral boss demon of the parent has presumably confirmed that he and all of his surrogates have no legal rights remaining in the host (counselee parent). Make sure that an imposter has not been switched out by testing the spirit, as discussed earlier. If incentives for his cooperation become appropriate as discussed as discussed previously, be prepared to follow through on any actions promised.

With the ancestral boss demon restrained, demand from him to know every evil inheritance passed down to each child, documenting the information using Form #12A with separate sheet(s) for each child processed individually. Go down the list for each category without rushing, being very thorough, and verifying that each answer “stands as truth before the throne of Yeshua Hamashiach” (the Hebrew reference to the Lord Jesus Christ). It is almost inevitable that the ancestral boss demon will attempt to mix some truth with lies during this interrogation in order to leave himself a back door for access to the children. If the ancestral boss demon still has an arrogant, condescending, and prideful attitude he probably still holds some secret ground. This will sometimes cause him to betray his façade of cooperation.

Anticipate and be alert to any deception by carefully observing body language or facial smirks. As a general rule, a demon will resist telling the truth but will gladly volunteer information if he is lying or reveling in his hidden information. Once the ancestral boss demon has truly lost all legal rights, his attitude will often abruptly change to one of a defeated, yet angry, adversary.

Once Form #FT-12A has been filled out for the particular child and there is no reason to believe that you have been given false or misleading information, then temporarily set aside the ancestral boss demon through prayer, locking him up securely in chains. Then, for each child that has inherited ancestral baggage (per Form #FT-12A), pray for each child individually (per Prayer #12). This prayer will:

• · Blood link all inherited evil in each child to the child’s ancestral boss demon

• · Fuse / integrate the child’s flipside and all personality fragments to the child’s core personality

• · Pluck out child’s ancestral demon and blood-link him to the counselee’s ancestral demon.

At the conclusion of the prayer, continue praying, asking the Lord to bring up the counselee’s ancestral boss demon interrogating him to confirm whether every source of evil in the child that was just prayed for has been removed. If the answer is “Yes” and “stands as truth before the throne of Yeshua Hamashiach”, set aside through prayer the counselee’s ancestral demon boss temporarily, and offer up a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord on behalf of the child’s parent [Chapter 8 Prayer #13/13A]. Then repeat this procedure for each additional child.

During this process, if it becomes apparent that the counselee’s ancestral demon boss has been sabotaging progress with lies and lack of cooperation, it usually indicates that there is still some secret hidden ground that the counselee’s ancestral demon boss is hiding. If such is the case, first declare your delegated authority over the demon boss and his network granted to you by the Lord Jesus Christ based on His word. Quote appropriate scripture (ref: chapter 9 “Authority of/in Christ”).

• “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will by any means harm you…” Luke 10:18-20

If the ancestral demon boss continues to disregard compliance, make it known to the ancestral demon boss that your next step will be to demonstrating that authority by petitioning the Lord to replace him as boss of his network with one of his peon demons and make him report to that peon demon. If he still refuses to cooperate, follow through in prayer with a request to the Lord to have him replaced and then restart the process with the new demon boss.

This process of releasing the children from inherited bondage is broken down into its component parts and interrelationship as shown on the flow chart shown below.

6.01 INTRODUCTION TO PROCEDURE #06_02 MAN CH06 PROCEDURE SWCP-01_REV03

A considerable amount of information and principles beneficial to a spiritual warfare counseling ministry have been shared up to this point and it would be quite unusual for you to not feel a bit overwhelmed by it all. In order to minimize anxiety over what to do and when to do it, procedure # SWCP-01-REV03 was developed and refined over several years. It is a very detailed step-by step roadmap to follow in the counseling process. It includes each step to take, suggested dialog when personalities manifest, what prayers to pray, which forms to use, etc. Until a counselor gains experience in the protocols of spiritual warfare counseling, this procedure should help minimize concerns over what to do and when to do it in most situations. Once a counselor begins to feel comfortable with this scripted procedure, he/she will undoubtedly gain confidence to rely on it less and less. But never lose sight of the fact that it is the Lord who is in control and will direct our path if we are surrendered to Him.

You were victorious over Satan and his demons. For it is written,

Jesus likewise shared in the partaking of flesh and blood, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, Hebrews 2;14b

Heavenly Father, do not allow the evil one to claim power over what was bought with the price of the blood of Jesus. Cover me and protect me with the blood of your ownership of me. Surround me with a host of angels to stand guard over me as I pray:

Lord, you gave me my earthly parents and my heritage. You gave me all of my ancestors. And I acknowledge that I inherited the surrendered ground of my forefathers up to 3 and 4 generations and beyond.

Lord Jesus, I do ask your forgiveness for and renounce any link to the iniquities of my forefathers or any generational curses from vows or blood pacts made by my ancestors to demons that came with them, including [list any that are known- list #2 of form FT-02(02)] and any other sins or curses unknown to me. I dump them all on the cross and ask you to wash me clean from them, that you tear down every stronghold and restore every inch of ground surrendered to the evil one, and saturate it with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, I ask that you allow every hidden fragment or broken part of my soul, and any flip-side or alter ego passed down to me from my forefathers to hear my voice. I ask that they be given the freedom to come near to allow me to address them without any intimidation from the evil one. May all demons be bound with chains and gagged, and their ears plugged that occupy any ground in my hidden parts. This is what I would like to say to the hidden parts of my soul:

“To each of you who has remained in the shadows of my life since the day you were formed. I know many of you have known terrible memories and emotional pain… trauma,… fear… rage… ...shame… …rejection… You have been carrying that burden because I did not take those traumatic events in my life and immediately lay them at the feet of Jesus. I want you to know that I take full responsibility for the pain you have suffered and I ask that you acknowledge all of those painful memories, and all of those painful emotions, and all of the iniquity that you acquired as a result of that, and put all of that on the cross of Jesus where it belongs. You are a part of me, and I invite you to be reunited with me that we may become one person again so that together as one, God’s highest calling can be realized in my life. It will be a place of blessing and peace for all of us. This may be the best opportunity for freedom that you will ever have. Please do not turn away from it!”

Lord Jesus, the sins and those things in my life that lead to sin that I know of are on the list before You now. Some of them I did in ignorance, some in willfulness; some were beyond my control, some I inherited from my ancestors. But in either case, I acknowledge that these sins and iniquities belong to me. And Lord Jesus, immoral physical or emotional bonds I shared with others both voluntarily and against my will, may have opened doors that allowed demons to be shared with others. This would include [Use List #6 of form FT-02(06)] and any others that I am unaware of or forgotten. I do confess & repent & renounce all shared iniquities that opened those doors. Lord I ask that you cast out from me any demon who I have shared with others, who now has no legal right to be here, and shut those doors so they can never again be used for an ungodly purpose. [Lord close the door of iniquity between anyone that I have had a physical relationship with outside of marriage]. [Lord, close the door of iniquity that enabled demons to be placed in my children]. Close any door of iniquity that enabled any demon to pass between me and any of my forefathers [or between me and my spouse]. I renounce any spirit that came into my life as a result of a soul tie and ask that you tear down every stronghold and restore every inch of my soul taken captive by them. Thank you Lord Jesus

Forgiveness

Heavenly Father,I realize my huge debt to You for all my sins and Your complete forgiveness You gave me through the suffering and death of Your Son on the cross. Therefore, by a decision of my will, I have chosen to forgive all who have harmed me or wronged me, or brought a curse upon me. [list names- list #4 of form FT-02(04)] and anyone else that I have forgotten, but who still keeps me in bondage by my unforgiveness toward them and I release them to You to do as you see fit.

Curses

Lord Jesus, I renounce all contact or association with anything occultic or satanic that brought a curse upon me, including any objects or marks on my body, and I cancel all of Satan’s claims against me for these things [list any known objects or tattoos- list #5A of form FT-02(05)].

Lord Jesus, I ask your forgiveness for, and do renounce any unscriptural declarations or commitments or acts of abomination made by me that brought a curse upon myself…

I do renounce all of these strongholds. I claim back the ground that all principalities and powers and all that their network has stood on for each and every one of these iniquities.

They no longer have a right to be here. I ask you to saturate that ground with your blood and heal, cleanse, and totally restore it. Heal my mind, body, soul, and spirit. And in your timing, Lord Jesus, I ask you to seal off all the doors to memories and the negative effects associated with those sins in the present or in the future.

Dear Lord Jesus, to the best of my knowledge, I have now confessed all sins and iniquities in my life; I have repented of them, and committed myself to forsake them. I have asked you to tear down all strongholds, and to reclaim the ground in my soul for Your glory. I have asked you to saturate that ground with your blood, and to heal me and cleanse me. Lord Jesus, if anything was missed or forgotten, or hidden by the evil one, or any sins and iniquities were not covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I give them all to You now, ,and I do now ask you to forgive me for those things, wash me clean with the your blood, tear down any remaining stronghold, reclaim all surrendered ground in my soul, and saturate it with Your precious blood.

Lord Jesus, may every demon present, in my life who now has no legal right to stay, be plucked out and bound and bloodlinked, with bloodlinks that can’t be broken, to the ancestral demon of power demon who is boss over the network of demons in my life, including demon clones, demon seeds, demon produced personalities, gatekeepers or any other unclean spirit.

Lord Jesus, I now open myself to receive Your blessing in every way You want to impart it to me. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen

Sometime in eternity past, God created a tremendous host of angelic spiritual beings. They were there when God laid the foundation of the world.

“Where were you [Job] when I laid the foundations of the earth?...
To what were its foundations fastened?
Or who laid its cornerstone,When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God [angelic beings] shouted for joy?” Job 38:4,6,7

Of this hierarchy of angelic beings, one angel was prominent above all others in every aspect of his existence… his beauty, intelligence, wisdom. His name was Lucifer, a cherub of the highest order until his heart was lifted up in pride and demanded equality with God. As a result, God cast him down in partial judgment from his lofty position in heaven.

Jesus witnessed firsthand when Lucifer was eventually cast down to the earth…

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Luke 10:17,18

When Lucifer rebelled, 1/3 of all angels followed him…

· Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems. And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth… And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:3,4,7-9

Lucifer (meaning “morning star” or “bringer of light”) became known in the heavenlies as Satan (meaning “adversary”) and those fallen angels who followed him became collectively known as “demons”. Some extra-biblical sources (e.g. The Book of Enoch, etc.) contradict this explanation of the origin of demon pedigree. But nevertheless, Satan is the undisputed prince over this vast hierarchy of filthy, unredeemable creatures regardless of their origin.

As a result of Satan’s rebellion, he and his demons were judged by God, and a lake of fire was prepared for them (Revelation 20:10). Up until this time, the angel’s view of God as a Righteous Judge must have been unclear to the angelic realm. With no evil present in the universe, the application of God’s justice would have been unknown. And once the concept of justice entered the heavenlies due to Satan’s fall, how could God’s love be reconciled with His Justice without seeing God’s mercy?

God answered those questions by a special act of creation- mankind… made in the His own image. And by the incarnation, death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, all of the wonderful attributes of God- His love, justice, and mercy, et.al. are revealed to all of creation.

· To me [the Apostle Paul], who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, Ephesian 3:8-11

When Satan and those who chose to follow him were cast out of heaven to the earth, he (Satan) assumed temporary dominion over this world.

…in whose case the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving…so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4

“I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world [Satan] is coming, and he has nothing in Me. John 14:30

· Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world [Satan] will be cast out. John 12:31

· ….of judgment, because the ruler of this world [Satan] is judged. John 16:11

Ever since that fateful event of Satan’s judgment and being cast down to the earth, he has been at war with everything on the earth that is made in God’s image or by His hand.

In the Old Testament, there is no known instance where demons were cast out of a person. But during Jesus’s ministry, the casting out of demons went hand in hand with the miracle of healing. This, in fact, was a sign and a validation of Jesus’s credentials as the Messiah.

And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. Matthew 10:1

If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? Because you say I cast out demons by Beelzebub. And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Luke 11:18-20

Technically, a Christian cannot be demon “possessed” because possession implies ownership and demons cannot claim ownership over any part of a Christian.

· Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19,20

Because the spirit of a Christian is “sealed” [G4972- “sphragizo”] at salvation (2 Corinthians 1:21,22, Ephesians 1:13, Ephesians 4:30), it stands to reason that it has no strategic value to Satan. However, the soul (mind/ will/ emotions) of a child of God is not sealed and therefore is vulnerable to demonic attacks. If not dealt with quickly and scripturally, control and occupation of areas of the soul are possible if evil forces are given legal rights to do so through some form or outworking of sin.

The most common argument against the premise that a demon can attach itself to and have access to the mind, will, and emotions of a Christian is the following hypothesis:

“Since our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, it is not possible for evil to cohabit with that which is Holy. Therefore, once a person is born again, demons can only intimidate, tempt, and harass a Christian but not occupy and control any part of his being”.

If such is your conviction, then please consider the following two doctrinal statements:

1. When a person repents and receives Christ into their life, they are sealed unto salvation, and nothing can separate us from His Spirit (“once saved, always saved”).

For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable Romans 11:29

· Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels, principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:35-39

2. It is possible for a Christian to sin after salvation.

· My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1·

Do you have convictions that the two statements above are true? If so, how is that possible? How can the Holy Spirit coexist in a body where sin is present? It seems reasonable to conclude that at salvation, God’s Spirit gives life to our spirit and resides there, not our soul and our spirit is sealed from the enemy for eternity. But while we are in these bodies of flesh, our mind/will/emotions are subject to attack and occupation by evil (“demonized” vs “possessed”). As further support for this position, consider also the following:

· Satan still had access to heaven in the presence of God for a season after his rebellion and even dialogued with God (Job 1:6). It is possible for Christians to receive another spirit not of God

For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel whch you have not accepted, this you tolerate very well! (2 Corinthians 11:4).

People who knew God have been controlled by Satan (e.g. Simon Peter [Matthew 16:23], Ananias [Acts5:3]) and there is countless counseling room evidence to affirm the conclusion that born again Christians can be "demonized" in the areas of their mind, will, and emotions [as opposed to being owned through possession], and scripture does not apparently conflict with it.

CHAPTER 10

CAN A CHRISTIAN BE DEMON POSSESSED ?

Very early in our lives, as self-awareness develops and grows, it is normal for each of us to question our value as a person. Deep within ourselves, we ask questions such as;

• · “Am I loved?”...

• · “Do I have value?”…

• · “Has life cheated me?”

• · “Am I enough (to be accepted by others)?”

Then, when traumatic events come our way (and they will come!), events such as rejection…abandonment… neglect… shame… moral failures, etc., cause our lives to become derailed, bringing great upheaval and doubts about our self-worth. People respond to these events in many different ways. Some people compartmentalize these terrible emotions and memories from their consciousness as a means of self-preservation while others experience the full onslaught to the point of a mental breakdown.

As these events unfold in our lives, we become very prone to internalizing false conclusions (or “strongholds”) about our circumstances and ourselves that draw us into a very dark place filled with unexplainable emotional upheavals… addictions…. obsessions… unexplainable health issues, etc.

A lie (and all of its resulting consequences) can only be conquered by the truth. And pure and undefiled Truth is only found in God’s Word. Therefore, we must recognize and renounce the lies that we have accepted as true and replace them with the truth of God’s Word.

There are at least 3 areas of hidden strongholds that must be torn down for us to be at peace with ourselves, other people and our God. What follows are 3 questions that reveal those 3 areas, the root issues that undergird them, and insights that can help us to tear down those strongholds and replace them with truth……

1. What do you really think of yourself?

• How we truthfully answer this question will reveal areas of self-rejection and/or levels of unforgiveness toward ourselves for our past transgressions. It is not unhealthy to have regrets for our past behavior but it must be quickly taken to the Lord in prayer with a repentant heart and confessed.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Once confession is made for the past, it must be released through prayer or we will remain in a self-imposed prison within ourselves due to the sin of unbelief and make God a liar regarding His forgiveness:

...but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead… Philippians 3:13

“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past….”“I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:18,25

· When we look at ourselves in the mirror and evaluate who we see, we are prone to view ourselves based on outward appearance. Outward perfection is an unachievable goal and will only be a snare to entrap us into a distorted view of our self worth. It is far better to use the same standards of beauty as God does… by the condition and content of our heart.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Sam 16:7

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 1 Peter 3:3,4

· We tend to measure our self-worth and importance by outward accomplishments that draw the favorable attention from other people. When we fail to measure up to our perceived acceptable standards, we often conclude that we have been a failure in life. If this were a reliable measure of success, everyone with an impressive resume would be the most satisfied and fulfilled people that we know. The sad reality is that over-achievers often reach the end of their lives feeling empty and unfulfilled.

·In God’s economy, true success is measured by how much we reflect the image of Christ. It is a lifelong and ongoing process of sanctification that will bring forth its fruit in its season.

From men with Your hand, O Lord, From men of the world, whose portion is in this life, And whose belly You fill with Your treasure; They are satisfied with children, and leave their abundance to their babes. As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake. Psalm 17:14,15

For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; Romans 8:29

When we focus on past failures, the poor choices we made, and the wasted life that we have lived thus far, we tend to conclude that all opportunities for recapturing those missed opportunities are gone. And to some extent, that is true. However, if you are still breathing, God has a redeeming purpose for your life in mind and delights in providing opportunities to redeem the years of that which was lost.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted;

He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to captives, and freedom to prisoners
To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord and the of day of vengeance of our God;
…To comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion giving them a garland instead of ashes, The oil of gladness instead of mourning,
The mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. Isaiah 61:1-3,

2. What do you really believe others think about you?

How we truthfully answer this question will reveal much about our priorities in life, our fears of rejection by others, and the level of unbelief we have regarding God’s promises.

When we value the approval of others over the approval of God, it becomes a snare to us that makes us slaves to their personal agenda. As a result, God’s voice speaking to our hearts is crowded out and leads us down a path of potential disaster.

• The fear of man brings a snare, But he who trusts in the Lord will be exalted Prov. 29:25

• I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him. How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God? John 5:43,44

• For we are not bold to class or compare ourselves with some of those who commend themselves; but when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding. 2 Corinthians 10:12

3. What do you really think God thinks about you?.

How we truthfully answer this question reveals our perception of God’s character, His capacity to forgive, and our willingness to believe what He has clearly stated in His Word. If he can’t be trusted in one area of our lives, how can we rely on His promise of salvation to all who believe?

So, consider for a moment what God has promised in His Word…

• to those who receive Christ into their hearts, God has adopted them as His children.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12,13

• Our place in heaven is sealed at salvation and cannot be taken away…

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,… In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:3-5, 1

• God’s acceptance of all of His children is based only on the righteousness of Christ and our willingness to believe Him and receive it, not on our human effort.

…not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith. Philippians 3:9

I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.” Galatians 2:21

• God’s Provision For our Sins is Enough

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Colossians 2:13-15

“ Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “ Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus….. Romans 8:1

• When Jesus’ disciples asked to Him to reveal their heavenly father to them, Jesus shared the parable of the prodigal son. It is noteworthy that prodigal never ceased to be a son or failed to be accepted by the father even though he strayed far from home for a season Luke 15:11-32 [The prodigal son]

What about our FEARS… ….of Rejection…of the Future….of Evil triumphing over us …of Eternal Security?

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
"Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing, and those who strive with you shall perish.
You shall seek them and not find them—
Those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing.
For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’ Isaiah 41:10-13

God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.… Be still, and know that I am God; Psalm 46:1-3,10a

• God forgets the past that is covered by the blood of Christ and commands us to do likewise.

“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past…., even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:18,25

• God and His promises are trustworthy.....Listen to Joshua’s last words to his people:

“Behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth. And you know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed. Joshua 23:14

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Having considered these things and pondered them in your heart, if you would like to affirm them before the Lord and know the freedom that comes from tearing down strongholds by believing these promises, then consider nailing it down by praying aloud to the Lord the following prayer:

"Heavenly Father, thank you for the way that You made me. Forgive me for focusing on the outside of my life and not seeing the potential beauty of the inside. Forgive me for focusing on the condition of my mind and not seeing the potential in my heart to love others. Forgive me for words of self-rejection upon myself that brought a curse into my life. I do renounce them and thank you for seeing the righteousness of Christ each time you look upon me. Forgive me for focusing on what I lost and not seeing the potential for what lies ahead. Forgive me for the unbelief in my heart toward your promises given to me about who I am in Christ and my acceptance by You. Mold me into the image of your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ and give me a heart that can express unconditional love, especially to those who have caused me to have a broken heart. And As You give me grace to do so, help me to make all these things a priority in my life. Lord, tear down any stronghold that remains in my life pertaining to these things, take back that ground in my heart that they stood on, pluck out any evil that remains, nullify any curses, and restore my soul. And having reclaimed and restored my soul, Lord cast out every spirit from my soul that denies that Jesus has come in the flesh and do not permit them to enter my life ever again. For it is written...." :

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him. [Colossians 2:13-15]

The significance of blood in worship:

• · Blood represents the life force of its owner.

  [For the life of the flesh is in the blood… Leviticus 17:11]

• · It represents a sacrificial offering and worship to God

And you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of the Lord your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of the Lord your God, and you shall eat the flesh. Deut 12:27

…And is counterfeited by demons in pagan worship:

They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons,38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood. Psalm 106:37,38

In pagan worship, this includes:

• · rape of the sacrifice to transfer demonic power into the victim

• · drinking the blood of the victim to ingest the enhanced life force (demonic power) fortified within the victim. The more innocent the victim, the greater the spiritual power; [hence, children/virgins, etc.]

• · It represents permanent bond of ownership by God

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. Acts 20:28

And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins. Matthew 26:27, 28

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. Rom 5:9

• · It endows spiritual power & intimacy with God

  But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Eph 2:13

  For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Hebrews 9:13,14

These purposes were consummated by Jesus Christ in a one-time act at the cross when he shed his own blood for mankind. If a person’s soul (mind/will emotions) is breached by a demon(s), they will endeavor to counterfeit the blood sacrifice of Christ in its host.

Cutting of the host by an empowered demon represents:

• · A demonic offering of the host as a symbolic sacrifice to Satan

…the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons . 1 Corinthians 10:20

• · A declaration of ownership (branding)

  He [antichrist] causes all… to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has [g]the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:16, 17

• · A petition to Satan for additional resources/power, if threatened.

So they [Baal worshippers] cried aloud, and cut themselves, as was their custom, with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them 1 Kings18:28

Induced suicide / abortion / murder is the ultimate sacrifice to Satan for these purposes.

Demons teach fragmented personalities to cut as a means of reinforcing their hold over their territory.

In SRA, RFID chips may be implanted and the alter may be trying to remove it by cutting / clawing.

Tattoos, by their nature fit the category of cutting/bloodletting. A door will either be opened or widened for demonic entry. Demonic Soul ties may also be formed based on what the tattoo represents.

You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord. [Lev.19:28]

Example:

· The Mari people of New Zealand

Purpose for their tattoos:

To mark the body for acceptance and power from ”local” demons.

It is dangerous for a Christian to take essentially a pagan activity and co-opt it for use in Christian worship or use in making a public statement. If an unclean spirit connects with this mark, it can bring spiritual bondage through what is essentially witchcraft.

Having considered these things and pondered them in your heart, if you would like to affirm them before the Lord and know the freedom that comes from tearing strongholds by believing these promises, then consider nailing it down by praying aloud to the Lord the following prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I, [My Full name], age ___ gave my heart and my life and all that I have to you at age ___. And so now I belong to you, all of me. I was bought at a price, the price of the blood of Lord Jesus Christ. For it is written…

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. [1 Corinthians 6:19,20]

Heavenly Father, do not allow the evil one to claim power over what was bought with the price of the blood of my Lord Jesus Christ. Cover me and protect me with the blood of your ownership of me. Surround me with a host of angels to stand guard over me as I pray:

Lord Jesus, I do ask your forgiveness for and renounce any link to the dishonoring of the temple of my body where your Holy Spirit resides by means of piercings or tattoos or cuttings in my flesh or blood rituals of any type that allowed any surrogate of Satan or any other form of evil to enter into my life by any means including any soul-ties. I do renounce these things, ask you to forgive them, and wash me clean from them. Lord Jesus, I ask that you tear down every stronghold and restore every inch of ground surrendered to the evil one and saturate it with the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I dump them all on the cross and according to your promise, I receive complete forgiveness, and I thank you for it. Amen

What Exactly Is a Curse?

From a biblical perspective, a curse is the antithesis of a blessing. Spiritual blessings are associated with divine favor, protection, and ultimate success in all that one undertakes. Consequently, a curse is the absence of all that a blessing represents. Once it takes root, it becomes a vulnerability to evil, sanctioned or permitted by God, as a judgment on sin of one form or another. A curse will hinder God’s blessings and protection, and will give an opportunity for Satan’s surrogates to penetrate the protective barriers God normally provides His children. Satan is then free to carry out any specific stipulations of the curse in its victims. Until the curse is confronted and broken, it is possible for the curse to be passed down through a family line to successive generations.

The vulnerability to evil caused by a curse has several analogies in scripture:

• A vineyard without a hedge or a city without protective walls.

And now, please let Me tell you what I will do to My vineyard [rebellious Israel]:
I will take away its hedge, and it shall be burned;
And break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down. (Isaiah 5:5)

Whoever has no rule over his own spirit [due to spiritual bondage] Is like a city broken down, without walls. Proverbs 25:28

Where Do Curses Originate?

Curses are formed in several ways:

• They can be self-inflicted through specific personal acts of sinful behavior as noted below.

• They can be formed through spoken declarations not sanctioned by God or contracts made or oaths taken while participating in occult practices or secret societies (e.g. freemasonry, voodoo, lodges, sororities, fraternities, etc.).

• They can be inflicted through words we speak about ourselves or others contrary to God’s Word or His will. (“I’m stupid”, “Things will never be better for me”, “You’ll never change”, etc.).

• They may be inherited from an ancestor who originally became the victim of a curse.

Although curses are formed in a variety of ways, they usually involve verbal declarations mixed with some form of sinful behavior. Interestingly enough, curses typically carry with them physical health consequences as noted in the symptoms below. This may be due to curses affecting the protective “wall” or “hedge” of the human immune system, causing a vulnerability of the body to opportunistic agents.

Curses do not happen arbitrarily. They are always brought about through overt or unwitting acts or proclamations of unrighteousness. However, a person who has a clean conscience and is in good standing with the Lord has a strong defense against any curse directed toward them.

Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse [H7045 “qlala”] without cause shall not alight. [Prov 26:2]

What Is The Scriptural Basis For Curses Passing Down Through A Family Line?

Since blessings and curses are opposite sides of the same coin, it would seem reasonable to expect both to share similar properties. Counseling experience confirms this as well. In Hebrews chapter 9, it states the following:

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all,… Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak,…

Abraham was the great-grandfather of Levi and he and Melchizedek died many years before Levi was even born! So how could Levi pay taxes to Melchizedek if Melchizedek was dead? This mystery is explained in the very next verse…

...for he [Levi] was still in the loins of his father [Abraham] when Melchizedek met him. Hebrews 7:1-10

Levi shared in the blessings of Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek because he was in Abraham’s family line! At least 3 subsequent generations are blessed by the righteousness of their forefathers! Unfortunately, it follows that curses are passed down to as many as 3 or 4 generations as well.

And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:6,7

PERSONAL SYMPTOMS of a CURSE (from Deuteronomy 28:15-68)

“But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses [H7045 “qlata”] will come upon you and overtake you:……” Deuteronomy 28:15

• Mental / Emotional Breakdown / Confusion / Depression / Failure

“The Lord will send on you cursing [H3994 “mera”], confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me… The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart. So you shall be driven mad because of the sight which your eyes see… And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. (Deut 28:20, 28, 34, 65)

The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish… The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed… The Lord will strike you in the knees and on the legs with severe boils which cannot be healed, and from the sole of your foot to the top of your head… then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues—great and prolonged plagues—and serious and prolonged sicknesses… Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed [Deuteronomy 8:21,22,35,27,59,61]

• Infertility, Miscarriages, Related Female Problems

“Cursed [H779 “arar”] shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. [v.18]

• Breakdown Of Marriage And Family Alienation

Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail with longing for them all day long; and there shall be no strength in your hand..... You shall beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be yours; for they shall go into captivity. Deuteronomy 28:32,41)

• Continuing Financial Insufficiency

17 “Cursed [H779 “arar”] shall be your basket and your kneading bowl…24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed….38 “You shall carry much seed out to the field but gather little in, for the locust shall consume it…. 43“The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower…. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail….47 “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. Deut 28:17,24,38,43,44,47,48)

• Being Accident Prone, Constant “bad luck”

And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you. [Deuteronomy 28:29]

• A History Of Family Suicides And Unnatural Or Untimely Deaths

“The Lord will send on you cursing [H3994 “mera”], confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me… Your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and no one shall frighten them away (Deuteronomy 28:20,26)

• Continuous Bad Fortune

“Cursed [H779 “arar”] shall you be in the city, and cursed [H779 “arar”] shall you be in the country… “Cursed [H779 “arar”]shall you be when you come in, and cursed [H779“arar”] shall you be when you go out… And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron... “The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become [h]troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth…You shall plant vineyards and tend them, but you shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. . 40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your territory, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for your olives shall drop off… Locusts shall [l]consume all your trees and the produce of your land. (Deuteronomy28:16,19,23,25,39,40,42)

• Failure And Injustice Will Rule Over All That You Undertake

“You shall betroth a wife, but another man shall lie with her; you shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, but shall not gather its grapes. Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you shall not eat of it; your donkey shall be violently taken away from before you, and shall not be restored to you; your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have no one to rescue them... A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually. (Deuteronomy 28:30,31,33)

• You Will Lose Your Testimony Among Unbelievers

And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the Lord will drive you. (Deuteronomy 28:37)

SOURCES of a CURSE (EITHER DIRECTLY OR BY INHERITANCE)

A. Involvement in the Occult

There are 3 basic categories of the occult:

He also made his sons pass through the fire in the Valley of Ben-hinnom; and he practiced witchcraft, used divination, practiced sorcery, and dealt with mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger. 2 Chron. 33:6

1. Witchcraft:

This is a broad category of false religious systems; and religious systems cannot exist in a spiritual vacuum. What is not worship of the One and True God will always, in the final analysis, be under the control of demons.

Yet they have not …feared, nor walked in My Law or My statutes, which I placed before you and before your fathers.”’… “Therefore this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Behold, I am going to set My face against you for a disaster… From the small to the great, they will die by the sword and famine; and they will become a curse [H7045 “qᵊlālâ”], an object of horror, an imprecation, and a disgrace. Jeremiah 44:10-12

…but I say that things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons. 1 Corinthians 10:202. `

2. Divination:

This is the practice of searching for “secret” knowledge…i.e., pursuing those things that God has strictly forbidden His people from seeking. Communicating with the dead, foretelling future events outside of His boundaries are typical examples. Such practices would include fortune telling, séances, clairvoyance, horoscopes, necromancy, etc.

When they say to you, “Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and 0mutter,”should a people not consult their God? Should they consult the dead in behalf of the living? Isaiah 8:19,

‘Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God… ‘As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the prostitute with them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people. Lev 19:31,20:6

3. Sorcery:

These are practices by individuals who seek power/control over their own lives and the lives of others by collaboration with demons. Incantations or oaths are commonly used along with potions, drugs (we get the English word “pharmacy” from the Greek word [G5331 “pharmakeia”] translated as sorcery), amulets, sensual music, drum beatings, etc. to facilitate a sometimes unwitting transaction with evil.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: … sorcery [G5331 “pharmakeia”], …and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21

B. IDOLATRY

This not only refers to carved images representing God but rather, anything or anybody that represents or crowds out God’s rightful place in our hearts. Verbal affirmations given to these misplaced priorities further strengthen the curse. Priorities are easily measured by the time devoted to them relative to everything else.

“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse [H7045 “qᵊlālâ] : the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse [H7045 “qᵊlālâ], if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known Deuteronomy 11:26-28

You shall burn the carved images of their gods with fire; you shall not covet the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it; for it is an abomination to the Lord your God. 26 Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed [H2764 “ḥērem”] thing. Deuteronomy 7:25, 26

Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. 1 Corinthians 10:14

C. Dishonoring of Parents

‘Cursed [H779“arar”] is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ Deut 27:16

D. Willful Injustice, Especially Against the Weak & Helpless (including the unborn)

Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who moves his neighbor’s landmark.’…

1 Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who makes the blind to wander off the road….’

Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and widow….’

‘Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who attacks his neighbor secretly.’…

‘Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’…

“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ Deuteronomy 27:17-19, 24, 25,

He who gives to the poor will not lack, But he who hides his eyes will have many curses [H3994 “mera”]. Proverbs 28:27

E. INCESTUOUS OR UNNATURAL SEX

‘Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who lies with his father’s wife, because he has uncovered his father’s bed.’…

Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who lies with any kind of animal.’…

‘Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’…

‘Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’

“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ Deuteronomy 27:20-23,

F. ONE WHO MAKES FLESH HIS STRENGTH

This curse comes upon those who rely upon their own resources and upon what the world considers powerful in order to be successful in life’s pursuits.

Thus says the Lord: “Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited. Jeremiah 17:5,6

G. ROBBING GOD (TITHES AND OFFERINGS)-

“Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say,‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings. You are cursed [H779 “arar”] with a curse [H3994 “mera”] , For you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Malachi 3:8,9

H. PROCLAIMING A DIFFERENT GOSPEL

A “different” gospel is not one which necessarily differs in minor articles of faith, but is rather any “gospel” teaching that would cause a person who believes such teaching to forfeit eternal life.

…If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31,32

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! [G331”anathema”] Galatians 1:8

I. MAKING A PLEDGE OR TAKING OATHS THAT ARE NOR ORDAINED OF GOD

This would include pledges or oaths expressed in the presence of witnesses, including fraternal orders or secret societies (e.g. freemasonry, fraternities/sororities …rituals…lodges…other deities by different names, etc.). This can be an extremely dangerous and destructive path for those who choose to do so.

'You shall make no covenant with them [those outside of God’s grace] or with their gods.' (Exodus 23:32)

But I tell you that for every careless word that people speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned [G2613 “katadikazo”] Matthew 12:36,37

Examples:

• Rebekah, Isaac’s wife, took upon herself Jacob’s curse and it came true for her. Her son was soon forced to take leave of her and she never saw him again before her death.

But his mother said to him, “Your curse [H7045 “qᵊlālâ]] be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go” Genesis 27:13

(Rebekah never saw her son again past that day)

• The Jews rejected their Messiah and brought a self-fulfilling curse upon themselves by their words before Pilate:

“…what shall I [Pontius Pilate] do with Jesus who is called Christ?” They [the Jews] all said, “Crucify Him!”… Now when Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but rather that a riot was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd, saying, “I am innocent of this Man’s blood; you yourselves shall see.” And all the people replied, “His blood shall be on us and on our children!” Matthew 27:22,24,

J. AN UNBRIDLED TONGUE – A channel through which demons may direct an attack

And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race. But no one among mankind can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people, who have been made in the likeness of God; from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing [G2671”katari”]. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. James 3:6-10

K. REJECTING THE REVEALED OF GOD

If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse [H3994 “mera”] upon you and I will curse [H779 “arar”] your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed [H779 “arar”] them already, because you are not taking it to heart. 3 Behold, I am going to rebuke your descendants, and I will spread dung on your faces, the dung of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it. Then you will know that I have sent this commandment to you, so that My covenant may continue with Levi,” says the Lord of armies. Malachi 2: 2-4

I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people,
who walk in the way which is not good, following their own thoughts,
A people who continually provoke Me to My face,
Offering sacrifices in gardens and burning incense on bricks;
Who sit among graves and spend the night in secret places;
Who eat pig’s flesh, and the broth of unclean meat is in their pots.
Who say, ‘Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I am holier than you!’
These are smoke in My nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.
Behold, it is written before Me: I will not keep silent, but I will repay; I will even repay into their laps,
Both your own wrongdoings and the wrongdoings of your fathers together,” says the Lord.
“Because they have burned incense on the mountains and scorned Me on the hills,
Therefore I will measure their former work into their laps.”…
But as for you who abandon the Lord, who forget My holy mountain,
Who set a table for Fortune, and fill a jug of mixed wine for Destiny,
I will destine you for the sword, and all of you will bow down to the slaughter.
Because I called, but you did not answer; I spoke, but you did not listen.
Instead, you did evil in My sight and chose that in which I did not delight.” Therefore, this is what the Lord ]God says:
“Behold, My servants will eat, but you will be hungry.
Behold, My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty.
Behold, My servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.
Behold, My servants will shout joyfully with a glad heart,
But you will cry out from a painful heart, and you will wail from a broken spirit.
You will leave your name as a curse [H7621 “šᵊḇûʿâ”]

to My chosen ones, and the Lord God will put you to death.
But My servants will be called by another name. 16 Because the one who is blessed on the earth
Will be blessed by the God of truth; and the one who swears an oath on the earth
Will swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten,
And because they are hidden from My sight! Isaiah 65:2-7,11-16

…‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: “Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who does not obey the words of this covenant 4 which I commanded your forefathers on the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, ‘Listen to My voice, and [a]do according to all that I command you; so you shall be My people, and I will be your God,’ 5 in order to confirm the oath which I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day.”’” Then I replied, “Amen, Lord.” Jeremiah 11:3-5

L. VIOLENCE AGAINST GOD'S PEOPLE

I [the Lord] will bless those who bless you [Abraham and his seed of promise], and I will curse [H779 “arar”] him who curses [H7043”qālal“] you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3,

You have heard their reproach, O Lord, all their schemes against me,

The lips of my enemies And their whispering against me all the day.
Look at their sitting down and their rising up; I am their taunting song.

Repay them, O Lord, according to the work of their hands.
Give them a veiled heart; Your curse [H8381”ta'ălâ”] be upon them! Lamentations 3:61-65

M. REPRESENTING AND SERVING THE LORD NEGLIGENTL OR CARELESSLY

A half-hearted response to the Lord when making a commitment to serve Him or avoiding obedience to Him in difficult situations will bring a curse from the Lord.

“Cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who does the work of the Lord negligently, And cursed [H779 “arar”] is the one who restrains his sword from blood [in carrying out His will under difficult circumstances] Jeremiah 48:10

N. ABSENTEE FATHERS

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse [H2764 “ḥērem”] Malachi 4:5,6

O. SEEKING RIGHTEOUSNESS BY KEEPING THE LAW

For all who are of works of the Law are under a curse[G2671”katara”]; for it is written: “Cursed [G1944”epikataratos”] is everyone who does not abide by all the things written in the book of the Law, to do them. (Deuteronomy27:26) ” 11 Now, that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “the righteous one will live by faith.” 12 However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “The person who performs them will live by them.” Galatians 3:10-12)

P. REWARDING EVIL FOR GOOD

Whoever rewards evil for good, Evil will not depart from his house. Prov. 17:13

Q. UNBELIEF

When someone disregards or shows contempt for the Truth of God’s Word, it gives the father of lies [Satan] carte blanche access into the mind, will, emotions, and body of the individual.

“And now, O priests, this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name,”
Says the Lord of hosts, “I will send a curse[H3994 “mera”] upon you, And I will curse[H779 “arar”] your blessings. Yes, I have cursed[H779 “arar”] them already, Because you do not take it to heart. Behold, I will rebuke your descendants And spread refuse on your faces, The refuse of your solemn feasts; And one will take you away with it. Malachi 2:1-3

Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit….But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us! Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”… Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”….[Jesus] rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!” Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. Mark 9:17-26

The Basis for Release from a Curse- The Divine Exchange

It is impossible to overstate all that took place while Jesus was on the cross. At the cross, Jesus, made an exchange of several things with us. Christ took upon himself all of our iniquities and, in exchange, offered us a robe of His Righteousness to those willing to receive it! As a result, God the Father no longer sees our sins, but only sees us wrapped in the robe of righteousness of Christ!

For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Cor. 5:21

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,…Isaiah 61:10

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:…24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:21-24

Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Alll we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:4,5,6

• At the cross, Christ assumed the wages of our sin(death) and in return gave us eternal life.

But we see Jesus, who was made [f]a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone. Hebrews 2:9

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

• At the cross, Christ took upon himself our spiritual bankruptcy and in return gave us His riches.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

• At the cross, Christ took upon Himself the shame of rejection by God the Father and by his own people, i.e., stripped naked, mocked and executed as a criminal. In return Christ has offered His acceptance and invited us to share in His ultimate glory.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabaktanei?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Matt 27:46

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things, and through whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the originator of their salvation through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10

• At the cross, Jesus took upon himself every curse that is upon us, and in return, has given us the opportunity to exchange our curses for a blessing!

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a [u]tree”— 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13,14

Steps for Release (if a curse exists)

e.g. Peter (3 denials of Jesus- Mark 14:66-72 / 16:7, Matthew 10:33, John 21:15-17)

1. Prayerfully and soberly assess all iniquities in your life that could contribute to a curse. Make notes of specifics.

2. Prayerfully research all iniquities known to (have) been present in parents, grandparents, and (if possible) great-grandparents. Make notes of specifics. (The Lord makes provisions for what we cannot possibly know. Just make sure that Satan is not allowing something to be remain hidden)

3. With sincere conviction, verbalize and personalize the attached prayer, quoting the iniquities as noted on this sheet at the proper time.( Note- the exact wording is inconsequential. Rather, it is to be a sincere prayer of faith to the Lord.)

Prayer of Release from a Curse (must be verbalized)

1. Confess your faith in Christ and in His sacrifice on your behalf (Rom10:9,10).

Dear Lord Jesus, I , [full name, age___, save @___] believe and confess that You are the Son of God and mankind’s only way to God: and that you suffered and died on the cross for my sins and my iniquities, and you rose again from the dead.

2/3. Repent of all your rebellion and your sins and claim forgiveness (1 John 1:9)s.

Lord Jesus, For sins and iniquities not previously covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ I do now lay them before you now at your your feet.

[Name all previously unconfessed iniquities] I exchange now these sins for your righteousness. Lord for any remaining unresolved rebellion in my heart, for any unbelief that may exist within my heart, for any sins and iniquities not covered by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, I give them all to you now, asking your forgiveness, and submit myself to you as Lord. Lord Jesus, I especially ask your forgiveness for any sins that exposed me to a curse, either by my own sins or those of my ancestors. I ask forgiveness for [list known iniquities of forefathers] and that you release me from the consequences of those sins.

4. Forgive all other people who have ever harmed you or wronged you. [Matt 5:44, Matt. 6:12,14,15]

And Lord Jesus, by a decision of my will, I forgive all who have harmed me or wronged me, or brought a curse upon me. I forgive [list names] and anyone else that I have forgotten, but who still keeps me in bondage by my bitterness toward them.

5. Renounce all contact with anything occult or satanic.

I renounce all contact or association with anything occult or satanic, including any objects, and I cancel all of Satan’s claims against me.

6. Ask for release from any curse. Gal 3:13,14]

Lord Jesus, I believe that on the cross You took on Yourself every curse that could ever come upon me. So I ask You now to release me from every curse over my life in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. By faith I now receive my release and I thank you for it,…Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed Is Everyone Who Hangs On A tree” in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

7. Believe what you have received, and go on in God’s blessing.

Lord, I now open myself to receive Your blessing in every way You want 0to impart it to me. Thank you Lord Jesus, amen.

Breaking The Power Of a Curse

Spiritual Warfare Is Not For Sissies

CHAPTER 10

Origin- G3341 (Metanoia) [Greek] / H7725 (Shuwb) [Hebrew] meaning: “A complete reversal/change of mind & priorities”

…the word of the Lord came to Zechariah the prophet, saying, “The Lord was very angry with your fathers. Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord… says: Return to Me…that I may return to you,” “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying,… “Return now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.”’ But they did not listen or pay attention to Me,” declares the Lord. “Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? But did My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, not [b]overtake your fathers? Then they repented… Zechariah1:1-6a

“Turn to me and be saved…” Isaiah 45:22

Repentance Defn: A binding, irreversible decision to relinquish the throne of your life to God, i.e., committing your priorities, decisions & your future to Him. The “decision” is repentance…the “journey” is called sanctification.

True Repentance is rightly characterized by the phrase “crossing the Rubicon” (See Footnote #1) on your journey toward God.

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you [where God is enthroned], whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. Corinthians 6:19,20

Who is Called To Repentance? Answer: God is Dialing Everyone’s Number, calling them to repentance

• ·The words of The Apostle Paul to the Gentiles :

So having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now proclaiming to mankind that all people everywhere are to repent, (Acts 17:30, 26:20)

How Important Is Repentance To Salvation? Answer: ... It Is a Foundational Prerequisite To Salvation!

· The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)

• John the Baptist: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt 3:2)

• ·Jesus: From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matt 4:17)

• Peter at Pentecost: “Repent, … for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38)

• 12 Disciples: And they went out and preached that people are to repent. (Mark 6:12)

“What About Those Who Will Never Hear the Gospel?”

…So Peter, upon seeing him [John], said to Jesus, “Lord, and what about this man [What does the future hold for him]?” Jesus said to him, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!” (John 21:18-22)

[…In other words, some issues are best left to God……the issue at hand is you!]

"Yet even now,[despite impending disaster]” declares the Lord, Return to Me with all your heart, And with fasting, weeping, and mourning;

Slow to anger, abounding in mercy
And relenting of catastrophe.
Who knows, He might turn and relent,
And leave a blessing behind Him, (Joel 2:12-14)

· But…The Door of Opportunity Will Not Be Open Forever!

Therefore, remember from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and I will remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. ( Revelation 2:5)

What Are The Characteristics Of Repentance? (How Do I Know It’s the Real Thing?)

Answer: Repentance does not justify sin but realizes the deplorable nature and enormity of our sin against a Holy God [Mind]

‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’ Luke 18:13

Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! Romans 7:24

I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, so that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. (2 Cor. 7:9)

· Without Repentance, A Person Will Be A Slave To Sin

“Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, each according to his conduct,” declares the Lord God. “Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you. (Exekiel 18:30)

· Genuine Repentance Brings Forth Fruit Consistent w/ a Repentant Heart. (Will)

“Therefore bear fruits in keeping with repentance ” Luke 3:8

"…that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.” Acts 26:20

· Repentance (turning 180 deg. from sin) that leads to salvation has no regrets for what must be left behind [Emotions, Habits]

For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death… 2 Cor. 7:10

…“No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

Remember Lot’s wife…” (Luke 17:32)

What is the Cost of Incomplete Repentance?

If, after responding to God, we put ourselves back on the throne of our lives once again, all acts of service to God done in the flesh will be burned and spiritual potential going forward will be hindered.

For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame. For ground that drinks the rain which often falls on it and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is also tilled, receives a blessing from God; but if it yields thorns and thistles, it is worthless and close to being cursed, and it ends up being burned. (Hebrews 6:4-8)

[Note: “Close to being cursed” is still saved. The issue regarding incomplete repentance is not about salvation but rather, whether we get to heaven with our rewards or with our robes singed.]

Footnote #1 JULIUS CAESAR AND “CROSSING THE RUBICON”

• · In the 1st century BC, the Roman Empire was a “democratic” senatorial republic, conquering the known world.

• · Among the many ambitious politicians in the republic was a man named Julius Caesar.

• · After gaining an alarming amount of political victories in Rome, He was given 4 legions of soldiers and sent off to govern the upper provinces north of Rome

• · Julius’s success in conquering territory alarmed the Roman senate and he was ordered to disband his troops & return to Rome.

• · He knew his political enemies would destroy his ambitions if he complied…

• · So Julius headed south toward Rome with his troops intact until he got to the Rubicon river.

• · The Rubicon river was the northern border of Italy proper

• · Crossing into Italy proper with unauthorized troops under his command would be seen as a crime punishable by death.

• · On Jan 10, 49BC, History records that Julius crossed that river, a decision that he realized would have irreversible consequences.

• · To this day, the phrase “crossing the Rubicon” is a metaphor synonymous with making any decision having irreversible consequences.

• Repentance is likewise intended to be a decision to “Cross the Rubicon” in submission & obedience to God.

Footnote #2- King Saul and the Consequences of Incomplete Repentance

· In 11th century BC lived a man in Israel named Saul of the tribe of Benjamin

· Saul was called by God to be king of Israel…

… and God gave him a new heart. (1 Samuel 10:6, 9b)

· Saul showed evidence that God’s spirit was with him……he prophesied (1 Samuel 10:10b)

· Then Saul soon willfully and repeatedly sinned against the clear will of God. (1 Sam 13:9-12)

· Rather than repent before God, Saul justified & defended his actions & refused to admit wrongdoing (1 Samuel 13:12b)

· From that point on, Saul’s ministry & his life went downhill. (1 Sam 13:14a)

· Because pride perverted his judgments, he made terrible decisions (wisdom failed him.) (1 Samuel 14:24-26)

· Then God became silent when he prayed (1 Samuel 14:37)

· Out of desperation, Saul openly confessed his sin…but with no repentance (1 Samuel 15:24-31)

· Then Saul’s family began to disintegrate……he destroyed his relationship with his favorite son Jonathon

…his daughter Michal died - bitter, childless...3 sons were killed in battle including Jonathon

· Delaying repentance led to more bad decisions and demonic attacks (1 Samuel 15:12-21)

· …Then emotional instability / paranoia (1 Sam 18:8,9)

..he murdered the prophets of God (1 Sam 22:18)

· …Then he collaborated with the occult, and ultimately commited suicide (1 Samuel 31:4)

· His enemies cut off his head… and fastened it to the wall for public display (1 Samuel 31;9,10)

Saul paid a High Price for Refusing to Repent…How Much Are You Willing to Pay?

After meditating on these things, if you wish to affirm them & offer to the Lord a truly repentant heart that holds nothing back from Him, then consider praying aloud to the Lord the following prayer:

Repentance Prayer

I, [your full name], do publicly declare my confession that Jesus Christ is the Son of God . He is the God that became flesh and dwelled among His people. He never wronged anyone but people rejected Him and treated Him as evil. They stripped Him naked, beat Him with a whip, shamed Him, tormented Him, and nailed Him to a tree.

I publicly reaffirm that Jesus became all of my evil and sin, so that I would have an opportunity and a choice to become His goodness.

Lord, those sins put you in the ground- but praise God! You were raised from the grave and accomplished every requirement to be my Savior. You have won the victory over the grave, death, and all the sin that was done to me or by me.

So, Lord Jesus, I , [Your full name], do cry out to You, asking You to give me the power to fully realize how much I have sinned against my Holy God.

I ask you to give me the power to fully understand that without repentance I will continue to live out my life as a slave to sin. Deliver me fully, Lord, from all that I have been.

I ask you to give me the power to have a life full of good fruit that is consistent with a repentant heart.

I ask you to give me the power to reject and remove all things from my life that must be left behind, to reject those things that cause me to stumble and fall. Lord, please give me the power to never look back and to never again desire those things that have kept me in bondage.

Lord, I ask that you give me the faith to believe that You can and will do all of these things in my life. And I thank you, Lord Jesus, for all of these things. Amen
